I like Nike. They make wonderful clothes and fantastic shoes. I can also really feel good about myself knowing that I was able to put food on the table for the children of Vietnam. Being a Nike supporter warms my heart.

Circulating nonsense is the “in” thing. It’s why we have all these weirdo “influencers”, honey boo boo’s, kardashians, and random nobodies doing podcasts.

Josh Pate threw out the name Brian Kelly. I think that has more to do with the rumored interest from Kelly for the job after Mullen was fired. Can’t imagine he’d leave LSU

Thoughts on BK? I’m kinda No.

Brian Kelly signed an insane 10yr $95mil + incentives contract with LSU. No way he walks away from that goldmine.

On the other hand I read some suggestions that Lincoln Riley is not so enamored with USC and LA now. Apparently he was promised more support that hasn’t been delivered. He also might not have anticipated the B1G move. That greatly increased their travel.

Nah, he doesn’t appear to be on an ascension at LSU. He’s solid but just like Les, I think he gets the boot eventually.

I think Urban desperately wants his name in the ring of honor and he’s been on a “forgive me” tour with UF since he stopped coaching. I think it has more to do with that than his desire to coach again. Just my opinion though.

10 year 95 mil is not insane, that is the norm for any program with national championship aspirations. If your coach makes less, you are shopping at the blue light special. Read the top twenty programs and the contracts. I don’t mean Liberty being ranked as they clearly aren’t a top twenty program. We are a top ten program/job no doubt but our coach’s check does not reflect that and neither does his performance. Had we hired a Kelly instead, maybe we win 8 games a year the next few years and fire him too just like lsu will do. The top twenty programs are championship or bust. Coaches can get six years of 8 wins and no sec championships but that leash tightens up eventually too. Kiff can do what Mullen did at miss st but not at UF. That’s fine at ole Miss.

He knows he made some bad choices if he wants to stand beside sos and Tebow. Ring of honor to me means this person bleeds, orange and blue. He does have two national championships and that damn sure has to be acknowledged, but if he were in the ring of honor and you ask, which one is different from everybody else here, the answer is urban. Yes, for the reason that he has two national championships and yes, there’s some negativity there too.

Anyone listen to the Swamp Things Talk podcast this week? The host told a story on how during the Miami game he was looking for Hocke to see what his new role of hype man/player motivator entailed. (Remember, Napier didn’t fire him from the staff after he was replaced as Strength coach). Host said wanted to see what Hocke was doing to earn his $750,000 salary this year.

couldn’t find Hocke on the sidelines. Used his binoculars looking for him all first quarter. Couldn’t locate the $750,0000 hype man hyping up the team.

after the first quarter…he ran into Hocke outside the press box eating nachos. lol. For some reason I found the story fitting, sad, and hilarious all at the same time. (If team motivation is hocke’s new role he certainly didn’t help at all last Saturday).

You're spot on with that. First, take responsibility for your own actions, then do something about it.

It must be year 2.1 of a new Gator head coach. The board is on fire again.

    Heck, you’re probably right.

Alabama signed Kalen DeBoer to an 8yr $87mil contract.
Texas just gave Sark a contract extension through 2030 that pays him over $10mil per.

    Kirby Smart $13mil
    Dabo $11.5
    Lincoln Riley $11mil
    Sark $10.3
    DeBoer $10mil

    Norvell $9.8mil :emoji_joy:
    Kelly $9.5mil
    Ryan Day $9.5mil
    Kiffin $9mil
    Josh Heupel $9mil
    Mark Stoops $9mil
    James Franklin $8.5mil
    Brent Venables $8.2mil
    Mario Cristobal $8mil

    Billy is #17 at $7.3mil

I just hope UF can eventually find a HC that’s worthy of being near the top of this list.

I guess in his defense Urban had the integrity. We just didn’t believe him.
