One thing I don't agree with doering and many others is claiming the entire staff is in over their heads. Some of his comments along with Shane matthews and some here are acting like Billy Gonzales hasn't taught how to run routes or put several wide receivers into the NFL for that matter. Ron Robert's had a couple of the very highly rated defenses at Baylor and other places. Harris has coached DBs elsewhere. I'm not saying they are all top tier but this snowball of criticism has gotten a bit out of control. To me the blame is squarely with Napier's lack of emotion, gameday acumen and unwillingness to coach to his roster. Just my take.
No stopping a runaway train. Been holding the brake all summer, but it’s done broke and it’s downhill as far as the eye can see. Hope there’s no hairpin turns on the horizon. FWIW, I agree with the sentiment.
Yep. One reason why I don't mind this meltdown is I get to see you haters suffer. Enjoy Billy Ball. Hope he stays forever just for you.
Legality was never mentioned. The reference to character was a reference to SOS who showed that people can walk away from the money if they know the fit isn't right. Spurrier walked away from 15 Million when he resigned from the Redskins, because it wasn't a good fit. I was suggesting that we give Napier the same option. Part of me doesn't want to let him off the hook. The program is toast and the longer Napier sticks around, the worse his future and reputation look. He should negotiate a much lower buy out and move on.
Yeah right. Spurrier had already made a ton of money and knew he would make a ton more. This is the biggest bag Napier is ever getting. He needs to squeeze it dry. Only way to work him down is if you can tie him to the Rashada lawsuit.
