Would be interesting to know. The play selection could be based on the packages DJ has been given, though.
Watch the game again. I'm suffering through it again as we speak. Checking my math. Seeing what i got wrong, what I had right. The talent is there. The discipline and coaching... is just not. No where to be found. A decent coach makes this a decent team. A great coach, makes a great team. Our coach, made this team the joke we suffered yesterday.
I would let my season tickets go for sure if that happened. Sanders is a jerk, and he won four games last year against an easy schedule.
Hell to the no. From the rumors about his locker room and seeing how his players interacted with one another during this weeks game, the locker room would be a toxic mess.
So you are watching the right side of our offensive line and our two big boys in the middle of our defense and believe you can make them belong in the sec. You should go into coaching yesterday.
Yeah when it looked like a white wave rolling over a blue buoy, I was like, ok here comes 4 hours of commercials and disappointment.
Urban knew back then Napier is going to be fired. Why do you think that spurrier came out saying Napier army of analysts is not going to win games? Those successful coaches know long before us that Napier is a fraud. Whether urban was just planting some seeds or not we don’t know.
Well....since you asked... I saw Mertz with a lot more time to throw than I recalled. I saw him with happy feet, poor reads, panicked, grotesquely inaccurate throws... My analysis appears to be confirmed, as I watch Lagway against that same line, behind the same line, with composure. Our true freshman playing like the more experienced player than our 5th year senior. ...and their qb playing like a stud under pressure. Not complete lack of pressure, but with composure commensurate with his experience. All of it, indicative of coaching. NB: I like Mertz; don't mean to diss on him. But seems to me regressing from last year, when he was riding his experience from Wiscy, to this year... would seem to suggest that the coaching he gets here, is not helping him grow... it's causing him to regress. Jmho/fwiw
Bigger problem is that Kiffen’s ex is the daughter of John Reeves. Supposedly they had words when Kiffen was caught with a co-ed which lead to the divorce. Reeves has a lot of pull with the bull gators.
I was strange that Spurrier was taking jabs at how the expectations were so low on the round table with Shane and Doering.
I listened to spurrier inside huddle last season. My take is that Shane tells as he sees it but Shane is almost always wrong. Spurrier was very careful not to stir the pot and if you listen to every episode you realize that he is never a Napier fan. He is always a nice guy good family man and he is the coach so we have no choice but be behind him. I could feel his pain to bite his tongue. When he finally said that he didn’t understand Napier plan and what his large staff is doing I understand that he finally had it enough.
Good post, but... "Shane [Matthews] is always wrong"??? From whenever I've heard him talk, I've found be to be pretty solid.
Whenever Shane said we would win or we would throw it around the opposite happened. I like Shane and he talked well. He could analyze a play really well. But his prediction and assessment of the state of the program are almost always wrong.
It's one thing if we had executed well and put up a fight against Miami. It's another to get shellacked in our own house. The talent gap can't be that wide can it? Looking for anything to pin some hope on here regarding this team.
