The Nissan Mascot Madness "Road 2" commercial “Fast and Steady” shows “Testudo” the Maryland Terrapin Turtle racing a 2023 Nissan Z. At the end of the commercial, the turtle gets out and starts walking very slowly towards other mascots. Then a gray elephant jumps out of the car and starts walking enthusiastically. The elephant is wearing a red jersey and while the word at the top is partially obscured by the elephant’s trunk, you can see AL on the left and MA on the right. The humorous thing is that in the middle of the jersey is a big O and not A. The Internet descriptions of the commercial list all the school mascots except one for Alabama. Did they get confused, did Alabama not give them permission, or are they intentionally trying to slight Alabama?
That could well be it. I hadn’t thought of zero. But I’ve never seen the elephant without an A. Funny that mascot is not mentioned with the others in the commercial write ups.
