I'm for free money trees in every backyard. . . . doesn't mean it's happening or ever going to happen. Nor is this. It's game over and it only gets worse from here.

I agree with the bulk of your post, but judges haven't been to blame in knee-capping the NCAA's enforcement ability....they fell on their own sword. The problem in the NCAA's enforcement was it is the Fox guarding the henhouse....they lost their stomach for sanctioning universities that hit their own bottom line after the USCw sanctions, and in doing so completely forfeited competitive balance in college football. The Supreme Court opened the door to NIL, but even they didn't go so far as to sanction what is occurring today where NIL is such a misnomer since it has almost nothing to do with earning outside funds from Name, Image, and Likeness and almost everything to do with pay to play. The NCAA did this to themselves and now they want Congress, who can't fix the equivalent of a leaky faucet, to get involved to fix the problem they created! Lord help us!

Almost none could get in and the athletes aren’t exactly getting high level degrees for the most part. It’s nice for the select few tgat have the aptitude to take advantage but not a factor at all for the majority.

Even if I were a student and gave permission to see my financials, you aren’t getting my uncles that sends me cash and buys me Raptors. It’s too sophisticated to monitor as this point. These guys are professionals at laundering money. Major sports don’t get into that, they have their contracts and players associations that keep it all in line. We have a handful of teams making it possible to rig the rosters in their favor. The bottom feeders of the conferences just keep their heads down and take their fat checks.
