NIL: The Cavalry isn’t coming to save the Gators

We had a losing season, yet we still had the 12th-ranked recruiting class, and top five if you go by average rating. We have 5* quarterbacks committed in back to back classes. Three of our best players on last year's team (Torrence, Johnson, Pearsall) came from the portal. We are barely into year one with Napier's rebuild; what more do fans want? Expecting a top three class already, plus getting all the top guys from the portal in December? Silly.

There are too many crybabies on here who think real life works like Madden franchise mode.

 

The same folks who say stuff like

"we are sitting back letting every other school pick their guys from the portal and we will be stuck with the leftovers"

"we aren't willing to spend money on the best players in the portal"

"the army we hired is too busy evaluating portal guys while they are busy signing elsewhere and we're too late"

are the same folks who are always talking about NIL and were ready to jump off a building when Rashada committed to Miami

 

And it’s a pretty safe bet that those crying the loudest contributed the least. They think buying a ticket and a hat entitles them to endless championships and number one classes.

And the hat was a gift, but the point remains.

 

I'm not sure what's worse: the people who whine about things when they don't go the Gators way or the people that whine about the whiners.

 

These “crybabies “ are about to watch our arch-rival win their second NC in a row. Questioning things should be happening right now. It’d be one thing if we were finishing 11-1 and on the doorstep…

 

What about the ones whining about the people whining about the whiners?

Can’t give them a nickle! College sports are about to be history for me ! The guys are treated like royalty, school is not in the equation, they make more than professors! I’ve got my Lightning, Rays and Jags ! I’m good

 

Only if they're smart questions, not rehashed, uninformed opinions disguised as questions.

 

Good ole boys got what they want, fan base must now dig in their own pockets now or be considered a "loser" if they are not the "highest" contributors, and we will argue amongst ourselves about whom is more "Gator".
