Assuming it gets settled in the plaintiffs favor what is to stop the players from yesteryear launching another suit?!

Best analogy I heard: If you played prior to NIL it is like the guy who bought the fastest horse the same year automobiles came out!

Also some of these guys suing were getting money under the table!

 

I once got up early one Sunday & bought a Lotto ticket with the winning numbers from the previous night’s drawing.

I had my girlfriend check it and she went nuts until I showed her the date on the ticket!

She didn’t think it near as funny as I did, but she had a comfortable couch!

 

I spoke with my friend who is inside of the USF NIL collective. He told me that USF has completely shut down their collective. Everything is going to be done through the program from here on out. With the new rules that allow colleges to pay up to 20 million directly to the athletes, they know they will never spend over that limit. So they will be asking donors to give directly to the school for the purposes of paying the stipend.

I think many will go this route and leave the collectives to the big P4 programs that can easily get to 20 million and need the outside NIL to supplement the rest. That would be about 50 schools that gross over 100 million.
