    I suppose this was inevitable. Apparently the stupid money being thrown at other QBs has left Nico Iamaleava feeling a bit underappreciated at Tennessee.

    Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Nico Iamaleava did not attend spring practice Friday, sources told ESPN. Iamaleava's absence came as a surprise to coaches and players, according to sources.

    Iamaleava has been in conversations with the Vols about a new NIL contract.

    On Thursday, On3.com reported that Iamaleava and the NIL collective at Tennessee were working on a new contract. Several other quarterbacks, including Miami's Carson Beck and Duke's Darian Mensah, have signed NIL deals for significantly more money this offseason, and Iamaleava was looking to renegotiate his deal.

    The situation has become a growing source of frustration among administrators at Tennessee and within the locker room, sources said.

    I changed the title since we should never allow an opportunity to bash Ucheat or the Holes or the LegHumpers to pass. LOL! :)

    Edit: Also, he had better be careful since I don't think he has shown himself worthy of top $$$. Maybe they can rent Rashada . . .

    I've been a big supporter of the players and NIL- they were dumped on for a long time. But, the craziness is out of control.

    It's why college football will quickly go the way of other semi pro leagues after the current fan base dies out. The demographic that has the highest interest is 40 year olds which would probably be concerning to people managing college athletic programs, but there aren't any people running collegiate athletic programs and haven't been for a couple decades now.

    Maximize quick profits. Who cares about the product in 20 years.

    If Nico is gone, I guess he sells the TN playbook. "From what I saw, he only knew 1 page of it"

    UT will hopefully call his bluff and send him packing. UT can reap what they sowed… 2 years ago they were bragging about his contract and suing the NCAA to keep them from enforcing their rules. They threw gas onto the NIL fire and watching them get singed but the flames is awesome
