Why is she a terrible candidate?

Trump crushed democracy with his iron fish.

So we banned him on Twitter and voted him out.

Koch's are still sitting on the sideline looking for a horse to ride. And they have a large ground team in place when they do decide to pick a horse. Other than her stance on abortion to date, what makes her a terrible candidate in your eyes?

She ain't selling what the repubs are buying--24/7 culture war. She's in the Romney conservative category that the GOP has thrown in the trash heap.

The survey, released Wednesday, shows the biggest movement in Iowa comes from Nikki Haley. Since July, her support doubled in the ballot test, and nearly twice as many now say they would "definitely" back her for the nomination.
Fox Business Poll: Support for Haley doubles in Iowa, putting her in top three

At the same time, nearly one quarter of Iowa Republican caucus-goers say they would never support Trump to be their nominee (23%). That’s twice as many as reject him nationally (11%).

Want to bet a significant amount of money against Trump winning Iowa?

Seems like there are different criteria here.

She is a terrible candidate in the eyes of

    - a democrat
    - a MAGA Republican.

I’m not convinced she is a great candidate for todays Republican Party who are by and large MAGA and MAGA adjacent. I do think she would be a pretty good candidate from a general election perspective.

Nah, her only shot is if Trump is in jail or at least convicted of a felony. Even then, with her rise in the polls she will become a target. Next debate s/b telling.

I agree but I believe that the legal system will bring him down before the general in as much as he will not be allowed on ballots. It will then be up to the moderates in the pub party to convince the radical trump voters that Haley is better than Biden. We need to return to a condition where the middle is dragging the radical in instead of the other way around. Hopefully the legal system does its job.

I listened to a republican pollster on a podcast the other day that said the non-college whites and evangelicals in Iowa are solidly Trump. Amongst other republicans, Rommy Swammy leads.

It’s obscene the power bumf#$** Iowa has for simply being the first Presidential primary state. What a stupid system.

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has surged into second place behind former President Trump in New Hampshire, according to a new poll, moving ahead of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the GOP field.

Trump is the clear frontrunner of the Republican race, with 45 percent of likely Republican presidential primary voters, but Haley is now his closest challenger, with 15 percent — according to the survey from the Saint Anselm College Survey Center at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP).

At this point I’d gladly take Haley as the R nominee and even as president. I’d prefer Chris Christie but she’s a close 2nd.

And what does the 2nd place finisher by a 30-point margin get in a presidential nominating race?

Bill Strong, an international investment banker and longtime Republican fundraiser, is among those looking optimistically at Haley. He pointed to numbers from a recent CNN/University of New Hampshire poll that he said shows there’s room for her to grow. The poll had Trump with 39 percent of the vote of likely GOP primary voters and Haley at 12 percent, nearly even with DeSantis, who months ago was seen as a front-runner in the contest.

Strong is confident that even a modest improvement like Haley’s in New Hampshire can impact potential donors, and a few of them have put money on her. They include billionaire WhatsApp co-founder Jan Koum, who has donated $5 million to a super PAC supporting her campaign, venture capitalist Tim Draper, who gave $1.1 million, and million-dollar donor Steven Stull, another venture capitalist, according to Federal Election Commission filings.

Give Haley some money to beat Trump and those damn libbies!
