Yes...but you did not factor in the point that she wanted them to vote for HER in the primaries. Many of the racists who she wants to vote for her in the primaries would have been alienated had she simply said "slavery". Let's face it: she wants to secure the votes of racists.

But you at this time plan on voting for this man for president who does not believe in free speech? Not believing in Americans' constitutional rights does not disqualify him in your mind? Really?

So she has to use the term "black people" now too?
She is talking about the government being responsible for people being free. I mean, it's a big stretch to think she means plantation owners there.

    her words:
"I will always stand by the fact that I think government was intended to secure the rights and freedoms of the people."

“That’s like saying you . . . before you got in this program, you’re taking a test whether you’re taking cocaine or not,” Biden said. “What do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?”

I'm openly admitting her answer was vague and could be interpreted by either side to support their cause. Again, both sides of the Civil War claimed "rights and freedoms" were on the line. I'm not making any assumptions at all. You are the one making assumptions by claiming she was talking about "black people's rights" and "describing slavery" even though she "forgot" to mention black people's rights or slavery in her response. I don't know what she said at the RNC, can you quote it here?

Good luck finding a party/candidate that doesn't manipulate speech. (Dems going after the baker in Colorado comes to mind).
What about Biden's attempts to force social media to silence speech? (i honestly wish media companies would to kill the misinformation, but it should not be the POTUS pushing them to do it.)

The point is, they are all pandering. There is no candidate above it. Who will you vote for that doesnt have a racial issue on their record or a perfect record irt free speech?

    Who?

Yeah ... that's what the south claimed ... it was the government's job to secure their property rights to black people and what they believed was their "freedom" to own slaves, which actually makes sense at the time of the Civil War because "the government" had put Slavery in the Constitution and didn't view slaves as part of "the people" whose rights it protected. And again, I'm not saying she is pro-slavery, I'm saying she gave an answer that racists could nod to their heads to ...

Biden didn't force any social media companies to silence speech. Ridiculous.

Nimrata Randwaha has to sell out her personal background in her never-ending quest to pose as a working June Cleaver to the GOP Charlottesville crowd. Frankly, it's sickening.

    1. She doesnt "deny slavery". Again, See her RNC speech.
    2. Biden telling black voters that they arent black if they dont vote for him would get a conservative absolutely lambasted and probably run from the race.
    3. Biden asking a black reporter about a cocain test and if he is a "junkie" is worse in my opinion.
    4. Imagine if a conservative made these statements:

“poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids”

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."

““We can build a new administration that reflects the full diversity of our nation. The full diversity of the Latino communities, when I mean full diversity, unlike African American community, many other communities, you’re from everywhere."

"And even back in the old days when we had real segregationists like Eastland and Thurmond and all those guys. But at least we’d end up eating lunch together. Things have changed. We gotta bring it back.”

How about him speaking so highly of Robert Byrd? Speaking at his funeral?
He called him a "mentor," "guide," and "friend."

Even Kamala Harris criticized Biden for "coddling" the "reputations of segregationists,"

How can anyone say this is not a worse list than not using a word? He used actual words. Why does he get a pass?

Yeah, but it's clear that Ron does not actually believe in the first amendment, since he used his governmental power to punish Disney for disagreeing with one of his policies. Maybe others try to manipulate speech. But that's a far cry from Ron's actual abuse of power as a government official who actively, not passively, tried to obliterate a company's free speech. You'd vote for a guy who would punish, and has actually punished, entities for disagreeing with him?

And doesn't this lack of respect for the freedoms of Americans in this one instance cause you to worry that he'd do it again with this or another of our freedoms on a national scale?

    I said "ATTEMPTED".

On another issue the ACLU sayd Biden has the "freedom of the press under attack"
The ACLU also says: "Forgive us, Mr. President, if we do not find comfort in the “just trust us” approach."

Republicans have been so conditioned to accept tolerating racists that they craft their speeches and answers not to offend their ridiculous notions. Nikki Haley is a coward.

Depends on whose freedoms one feels needs to be protected. If culture wars are your north star…

When you have an overwhelming need to mind other people’s business and want laws to reflect that, you will do what it takes.

I’m fine with that decision as I’ve stated previously. What would you do without the Colorado baker LOL?

What would you guys do without silly gotcha cases like this?

I mean the blind spot at your own side is often comical. Our president has a history of racist gaffes. Yet crickets.

The point about the baker is always relevant when liberals argue about free speech being squashed by government.

Oh, please. Again, trying to paint Biden as a racist is desperate.

At the end of the day, as evidenced by your posts, you are more concerned about the culture wars and everything that goes with that. Make a big deal about leaving the Republican Party but you still carry their water and vote for them.

Serious question, YOUR rights are not being infringed upon at all so why can’t you just leave people alone to live their lives as they see fit?

I agree. Thats why i defend the baker.:)

As for the rest of that post, you carry water for a guy spewing racial gaffes all over the place. A guy who spoke at Byrds funeral. A guy who longed to have lunch with segregationists.

Stop acting like your political hands are clean.
