Fair enough, and I appreciate your point about moral truths. Perhaps there is one right and wrong answer to every moral question imaginable. But I'm not sure how far that gets us if our identification and application of moral truths is inherently subjective and subject to change over time. I personally tend to avoid the word "absolute," in particular, due to the classic question about whether, for example, it's morally acceptable to commit one wrong to prevent a greater wrong (e.g. to lie to someone in order to prevent a murder). Putting religion aside and even at the Constitutional level, Americans' views about our "rights" have obviously changed significantly (I would submit for the better) since the Constitution was drafted and ratified.

 

I agree, and when I say moral absolutes, that list is fairly small and comes from our creator.
