If someone asked that question, I don’t think I’d struggle with the answer. Would you?

Well, of course you wouldn’t. You’d just recite the bedtime story you were told.

He would do what he ALWAYS does, as every properly indoctrinated foot soldier in da snowglobe does--he'd dutifully regurgitate the canned orthodox reply.

Then of course, he would, as he's done, scoff at any deviation from the approved orthodoxy, and dismiss it as *bluh'tee treach'urus hearhenism!!! Aye ....!!*:eek::eek:

    :p

Well, at least Fauci is a tad closer to relevant by about 160 some odd years...

    Question for Massachusetts candidate …

“How do you feel about the fact that your state had slavery 78 years longer than Mississippi ?”

I didn’t read anything like this in school …

The authors, all journalists for The Hartford Courant, argue that most Americans have learned only about slavery in the South. As a result, the authors argue, many Americans emerge from school believing that the North and its citizens watched innocently as the institution of slavery took root and thrived across the Mason-Dixon line, and finally decided to go to war to hold the nation together and ultimately end the evil institution on which the South depended.

Slavery ginning up in New York again ? Not surprising, I suppose. New York had a harder time letting go of slavery than did the South …

You were a history major at UF and are just now learning that there had been slaves in the north?

Of course not. I’ve known it for years. And yes, I was taught, at UF, that slavery was the underlying cause of the war and other fairy tales.

It sure is. In the space of a few pages the thread went from Nikki Haley not wanting to offend her KKK followers to, “Well, everybody knew that the North was complicit in slavery. Did you fall off the turnip truck yesterday ?”

Fake tolerance is so “in” this season.
It’s fun to see what crazy libbies will think of next, and then pretend it’s normal.

Because there is a concerted effort to rewrite history in such a manner that removes context from current issues affecting many black Americans. It serves to fortify a belief system that blacks are somehow less intelligent, industrious, or productive than other races by minimizing the effects of slavery, Jim Crow, and other systematic injustices that had a lasting effect on a particular segment of our population. By denying the true cause of the Civil War, these new Confederate apologists seek to throw salt in open wounds and further divide us as a nation.

Goalposts have been uprooted, laid on a flatbed and driven to the other end zone in the space of 24 hours.
