.. riding bicycles last night (I know there are some fellow hockey nerds here.) Gaudreau was a great player with Calgary and more recently with Columbus. He earned the nickname Johnny Hockey for his love of the game This is even more tragic when you realize this happened on the evening before their sisters wedding which they were in town to be groomsmen in. A wife lost her husband. Two kids lost their dad Two parents lost two sons. Two siblings lost two brothers. And a joyous wedding day has been overcome by an unspeakable tragedy. Everyone enjoy your weekend, but please be smart. Cell phones make getting rides all the easier. We have to be better as a society. We all enjoy a beer with the boys. But man up and be smart. Absolutely awful. The perpetrator's life should be forfeit IMO, in every sense. I'll save the other choice words I have for the loser who did this, as they would get me a healthy timeout. RIP Johnny Hockey
Uber, Lyft, taxi, call a friend, designated driver. Plenty of options to avoid getting behind the wheel after drinking. The drunk driver ruined many lives with a selfish act, including his own. Tragedy all around.
The guy has been arrested. Charged with death by vehicle in Jersey. Now the young woman goes from one of the joyous occasions of her life to a day of unspeakable sadness.
So tragic and so completely unnecessary. The loss and suffering are beyond words. My deepest condolences to all the bereaved. RIP young souls.
