The 2023 NFL Draft will be the 88th annual meeting of National Football League franchises to select newly eligible players. The draft is scheduled to be held in the plaza outside of Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri, on April 27–29, 2023. Wikipedia

    Dates: Thu, Apr 27, 2023 – Sat, Apr 29, 2023
    Location: Union Station Kansas City

    4. Indianapolis Colts
    Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida
Of all the first-round passers, Richardson fits new coach Shane Steichen's system the best. Steichen did a great job with Jalen Hurts as the Eagles' offensive coordinator. Richardson's combination of arm strength and mobility means he has plenty of upside to mold, even though he started just 13 games in college. The last Round 1 quarterback to have that few starts? Mitch Trubisky in 2017, who also had 13. Richardson needs polish, but he would enter a situation in Indianapolis with competent offensive targets and a strong running game to ease his transition.

    24. Jacksonville Jaguars
    O'Cyrus Torrence, IOL, Florida

The Jaguars were one of the NFL's biggest surprises last season. With a solid foundation in place, they could be looking to build up the protection in front of quarterback Trevor Lawrence. With a void at left guard on the roster, Torrence would slot in as a Day 1 starter. Arguably the top interior blocker in this class, he has checked a lot of boxes throughout the pre-draft process, including performing well at Senior Bowl practices in February. Despite playing just one season in the SEC -- he transferred from Louisiana -- his strength and dependability at either guard spot are already NFL-ready.

Florida QB Anthony Richardson impresses NFL execs on pro day
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Anthony Richardson completed the last of 45 passes, raised his right index finger and started jogging toward midfield.

He got near the Florida Gators' logo and delivered a roundoff backflip that was as perfect as any throw he made during Florida's pro day Thursday.

It might have been his last gymnastics move for a while.

Richardson put on another show for NFL coaches, general managers and scouts, this one a follow-up to his record-setting performance at the combine earlier this month.

2023 NFL draft: Needs, fits for teams without first-round picks

As it stands a month out from the 2023 NFL draft, five teams are set to skip the first round, all having traded away their top selections. That means the Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers need to nail their picks on Day 2.

More teams could join these five by making trades over the next few weeks and throughout draft night -- we had nine on Day 1 last April) -- and interestingly enough, none of these teams picked in Round 1 last year, either.

How could each of these franchises without a first-round pick still make improvements in this draft? We asked the NFL Nation reporter for each team to outline top draft needs, then went to NFL draft analyst Steve Muench for his thoughts on a prospect who might be available when those teams make their first selections. (Teams are listed in order of their first pick

I would be really surprised if Cox is available in the seventh round. Someone will believe they can fix him.
