Sunday, January 29, 2023. 3:00 P.M. ET. FOX. NFL NFC CHAMPIONSHIP. San Francisco 49ers. (13-4). at Philadelphia Eagles. (14-3).
A few of those drives were filled with penalties early on and it really changed the complexion of the game.
Since I watched the game, any particular penalty stand out as not really being a foul? I don’t recall any questionable penalties.
I feel those defensive holding / PI penalties can be called on every single play if they wanted to. I think 2 were called on the same drive to put Philly up after the Niners had momentum following the McCaffrey TD.
Not how it ended up, but at that time it was an important turning point. You watch, KC will win the Superbowl. Ask me why later.
I get that, but the game was still in question. I’ve watched enough football to know that one or two plays can break a game wide open. EDIT: Up to that point Philly’s offense hasn’t done much aside from the dropped 4th down play that wasn’t challenged and the Niner D was pretty much stopping them.
Geez, both games featured teams that were like mash units. Everyone was limping around the field. Hate to see the SF QBs go down. As for the Eagles, they are legit and I think are favored by a pt or two against the Chefs.
