With this latest transfer added, it looks like Todd Golden has strengthened the point guard position. I have the following projection to UF's roster:

    PG: 6'3 185 Kyle Lofton(Sr)/ 6'0 170 Trey Bonham(Jr)
    / 6'4 175 Denzel Aberdeen(Fr)

    SG:6'3 175 Myreon Jones(Sr)/ 6'5 195 Will Richard(So - edit)

    SF/SG: 6'6 180 Kowacie Reeves(So)/ 6'5 206 Niels Lane(Jr)

    PF: 6'7 230 CJ Felder(Sr)/ 6'8 195 Alex Fudge(So)

    C: 6'11 245 Colin Castleton(Sr)/ 6'11 305 Jason Jitoboh(Sr)
    ===============================================
Total: 11-players (Should later be 12 with Kugel).

After the 2023 season, Florida could lose up to five seniors and would most likely have to rebuild/reload again!

That is a good group of players I can see a top 3 SEC team. Good size, should be a better shooting team. Looking forward to season.
White fan but happy with new coach and players.

Hope your right melrose, top 3 SEC would almost certainy be an NCAA tournament lock. Of course the proof is in the puddin.

Looks like a decent group (on paper). Excited to see this group and what coach does with them. We always seemed to struggle on offense with CMW's guys. Hopefully the offense is a bit smoother under coach Golden.

I'm a lot more optimistic about next year than I was a month ago. Golden has shown he can recruit the transfer portal, hopefully next year he will show that he can also recruit high school players as well.

I actually don’t think the offense will be terrific next year. Not bad, but not there yet. Too many mismatched pieces, not enough shooting. Will be very dependent on Reeves, imo.

But the defense will be terrific. That backline of CC, Felder, Fudge, Lane, and Richard will be outstanding, as will Lofton at the one. Add to that more variety in coverages and a greater emphasis on quantifiables, like defensive rebounding, and we may be as good as anyone in the league.

Is there a promising five in the pipeline for the following season?

No, but I believe Jitoboh can come back for a covid year, and the Wash St transfer would be huge. Otherwise, we will be portalling again next year.

If grade issues, the only place he could get in would be LSU, as their admission standards are low by comparison. UF has his HS teammate as a commitment. No clue as to where leaning. Thought HS grades were a concern?

Assuming his grades pass muster, he is coming here. I am optimistic.

I hope money won’t drive him in another direction
And grades he can muster. I hope by his getting the news he needed to work on his grades could have him headed for an easy way out, same money or close to it, NIL, and come here and just play basketball, LSU, famous for it, just ask Shaq.

I hope he is resolute in coming to Florida, where he played his HS ball and play with a former teammate, and play for the new coaching staff Coach Todd Golden has put together. I want to be optimistic like you, but burned so many times I say show me tomorrow what kind of person he is.
Rserina I know you have good instincts, hopefully he will round out the guards and help get us back to a high national level, Gooooo Gators!

^ Question is UF admissions, not his desire here. To my knowledge, he hasn’t visited LSU or UGA, so that’s a real positive.

I feel like troll culture could make us less likely since he’s signaling preference to UF. Maybe I’m just paranoid. :(
