It’s just my personal litmus test. If this was all hot blondes, doing the same thing would I be ok with it. The answer is depends on the clothes and content. Personally i used to love hooters(kinda stale now). Went to the original in Clearwater often. I would most likely not want them dancing and singing for my 5yo

 

The cheerleader is a great analogy. I feel like most GOPers that have a hard on for these brand of social issues have absolutely zero issue with a female cheerleader doing her thing and would have zero problem with their children watching them. Hell they’d even encourage it and sign their daughters up for cheer classes at the first opportunity. But if a man put on that exact same outfit and did the exact same cheers they would be offended by it and deem it unsuitable for children.

It’s just straight bigotry. A lot of them probably can’t even realize it.

 

it’s a fair argument. My 17yo daughter did competitive cheer when she was younger. It totally creeped me out to see parents dress up their daughters in soooooo much makeup. It was way over the top. Thankfully she grew tired and stuck with volleyball.

 

I just think as parents we each have a personal responsibility to protect our children however we personally deem necessary. I just think it’s absurd to want a nanny state.

Nothing is too far for them when it comes to attacking DeSantis. Remember, if the still have the same cars, those cars still have the Rick Scott Is An Asshole stickers on them.

 

I don't have bumper stickers, but I would like to go on record that Rick Scott is an asshole. And when it comes to DeSantis's relentless attacks on free expression, I will always stand up in opposition to them.

I 100% agree. Ban child beauty pageants. Never understood the appeal to that, and it's probably bad for little girls.
