I've never heard of the position of executive head coach. Wouldn't that outrank the head coach? Did Napier hire his own boss?
“My car is making a weird sound, why isn’t the check engine light coming on? If it’s not coming on, my car is obviously fine” that’s how I read the rationale of some of these comments
There's nothing sanctimonious about it. On the other hand, there are several impatient commenters here acting like they are entitled to know every little thing Billy and the staff do the moment it happens, like full transparency is mandatory.
Please explain the rationale as to why our "announcements" take "centuries" whereas the "LSU's" take "days"? This isn't snarky, just why the differences?
I posted several comments RE: the lengthy time, although I'll be the first to tell you that they owe you nothing in terms of transparency or explanations. It was quite odd that the imminent hire was leaked, then it took over a week to make the hire/announcement. RR even posted on social media that he was at UF, but still no announcement. Very odd. How is he regarded as a recruiter?
Not exactly an insightful concept. Everything always falls 100% on a head coach. He's the head coach. He's responsible for everything that he, his coaches, his employees, and his players do. What else you got up there in yellow-checkerboard land?
They're being quite transparent. They're making it clear that they're not going to hire an OC and an ST coach.
No ship. There's a group around here that seem not willing to hold BN accountable and instead place a disproportionate level of the blame on the assistant coach. Of course the assistant is to blame but BN should likewise pay the piper. If any assistant fails it is BNs fault.
No one other than the AD (and his boss) and Napier himself are responsible for holding Napier accountable. What we all do here on this board in terms of holding him accountable is pretty much meaningless.
We are a pretty good representation of hard core supporters of our team. I think we all bleed orange and blue but if you cant hold on to many of us imagine what the average Gator fan thinks of a program who loses every rivalry game and posts losing records year after year. They are actually the ones who hold him accountable with filled stadiums and merchandise purchases...we are just the canary in the coal mine. I can tell you fan apathy will sink in real fast with another down year...
