So now he falls up to Jax, and is asking for: 350k in salary 1k a month in auto expenses 15k to move 87.5k a year into his retirement accounta year (25 percent of his salary) 30k a year if he is found to be “highly effective” and 25k if “effective”. so good luck Duval, he seems like a winner. Good question. Maybe I will ask my friend in Fort Myers who has some political ties if he knows anything about this.
I wonder if Lee County voting to elect its superintendents in the future played a role. (That is also an idiotic idea.)
Like judges, superintendents must be non-political. Appointment is the best way to ensure this in an imperfect world. BUT, the boards which appoint them have become increasingly politicized, and the world becomes more imperfect.
