I don’t mind Richt. He is about as classy as it generally gets for a HC in that era and now he’s sick but still working. This is the stuff that makes college football fun.

 

I thought it was fun. It’s what makes college football cool. It’s a rivalry. Our rivals think SOS and Urbs are classless aholes too.

Most won’t know who he is? The old man on TV that looks high. So what. It’s fans and writers with zero creativity(Dooley) that make big deals about this stuff.

 

These are the kinds of moments that remind me of our good times, nobody says dick about you when you're irrelevant. Which is why we are always one coach away from being that type of team again. You think Kentucky or south Carolina arouse reactions from opposing fans or former coaches like that?
I expect that game in tally to be a way war, no its not 96, but both teams could be ranked for the first time since 15? Whens the last win we had against a ranked Fsu team?
I hope Napier realizes the importance of beating at least 1 rival this year. Big game for both coaches.

UF vs FSU is going to mean something a little special this year. We need to take care of Vandy of course but our final game against FSU will have great local and regional interest and possibly some recruiting implications. I'm excited about the last game, against a hated rival, ...

 

Always love to hate half-ass-u. Been there as a favorite and lost but more often been there as underdog and won. Was there for the Lane Fenner catch...heh.heh,heh

 

It definitely made for a memorable game. Along with the next years game when Urbs called double timeouts so that Richt could get a good look at the scoreboard before the game ended. You are right. This is what makes up college football…nobody got hurt, it just got folks more involved.

 

A little bit of trash talk spices up the game. I like it.
