"Denton Lord" is the name of the main character on some bafflingly popular ABC crime procedural called, like, Lord's Prayer or something that runs nine seasons and your mom absolutely loves it.
Good to see this. I coached his Dad and Uncle in HS in Marianna. Alan and I got to see him this summer at a showcase in Jasper, Ga. We got to see him pitch 5 innings-he looked good, commanded both sides of the plate. A ton of potential with a lot to look forward to. Alan had a lot of conversation between him, Denton, his parents, and Sully. Made me proud.
Yes, thanks to you and Alan for your continuing involvement and support of our program. Gators supporting Gators!
I feel like he will be drafted but from what I understand he wants the college experience of playing ball at a top program. His uncle is the pitching coach for the AA Washington Nationals Milb club and he pitched at Chipola and FSU. I do not get the impression that he is “trigger happy” to sign pro.
I think it’s Nov 11, all sports outside of football announce their signing classes. But for now, this is the list. Florida - Perfect Game Baseball Player College Commitments
I have voiced this opinion over and over again. Pitching prospects in general will do better with the shorter college season instead of being thrown right into a meat grinder minor league season right out of HS whilst position players will advance their skills faster the the more reps that they get in the minors versus college. Pitching can take a harder toll. There are exceptions but those pitchers are HOF guys.
