There is no country capable of 'wiping Israel off the map' militarily (particularly when they are tied at the hip to the US & the EU), I think people are tossing around "existential" threat extremely lightly (you are now extending it to hypothetical regime changes!). Ukraine is holding off Russia with less aid and less commitment from the US and EU.

On one quick read, I would quibble with 20% of the factual history, including key omissions (obviously can't cover all - it's about choices; mine would be different), and maybe 40% of his conclusions (fails to consider a priori assumptions in his analytical framework).
