Good. They deserve freedom of speech but don’t deserve no consequences for what they say.

I’m glad the article mentioned healthcare CEOs in addition to Wall Street CEOs.

I heard a ret general say exactly what you described. Israel will likely take that territory over methodically and strategically so they control it and this can never happen again.

Depends, is the entire town full of women rapist and baby killers?

What should Israel response be to having over a thousand people killed, raped, brutally murdered, and tortured?

Did hamas give the people of Israel a chance to leave to safety?

The Israeli army has no information confirming allegations that "Hamas beheaded babies," Israeli army spokesperson unit told Anadolu on Tuesday.

It was alleged that Hamas's armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, "beheaded many Israeli babies" on the Israeli side during the early Saturday morning attack launched from Gaza.

When Anadolu contacted the Israeli army spokesperson unit over the phone and asked about the allegations, she said "We have seen the news, but we do not have any details or confirmation about that."

Israeli army says it does not have 'confirmation' about allegations that ‘Hamas beheaded babies’

I look at it this way, in the immortal words of J from Men in Black, "don't start nuttin', won't be nuttin'."
Israel should do whatever they think they need to to remove the threat.

    So who do we believe?

Kfar Aza kibbutz: Children, women, elderly 'butchered' in Hamas attacks on border communities, IDF says | CNN

“I’ve never seen anything like this in my career, never in 40 years of service this something I never imagined,” Maj. Gen. Itai Veruv told CNN on Tuesday, just a few hours after Israeli troops secured the kibbutz from Hamas assailants.

Give them a viable option to get out of harms way and out from under the control of hamas. I'll ask again, what would you propose Israel do? The only way to prevent this from happening again while still allowing Gaza to self rule is to eliminate Hamas. How would you do that while limiting civilian casualties?

In war, the first casualty is truth.

The civilians who don’t support Hamas— who just want to live their lives— are victims of Hamas. Hamas wants them dead in large numbers and the younger the better for Hamas. That fulfills their political aim of accusing Israel of disproportionate force and war crimes. And it has worked.

Fair point, but it brings to mind the Erica Marsh account. Remember that? It had some viral tweet viewed 27 million times. Had more than double the followers as this. Turns out that “person” was complete fiction. It was presented as a crazed liberal activist. The photo avatar was actually a MAGA Trump supporter (who had no idea her likeness was stolen).

Not saying these BLM accounts are also fictions, just saying # of followers doesn’t necessarily matter either way as far as credibility or the “influence” they have. Even the “real” activists use inauthentic activity to boost their social media metrics (see Steve Bannon aligned groups who have manipulating people on social media down to a science, manipulated a bunch of morons into 1/6). Honestly, at this point if anyone is still using rando sources on social media to “prove” anything without knowing their exact real world credentials, that person just isn’t very bright and shouldn’t be trusted to handle a pair of safety scissors. Social media is a cesspool of degeneracy and lies.

I'm not really interested in Hamas' propaganda, just like I don't have any interest in Israeli propaganda. Do they have the power to do that 'ruling' (if you can even call it that) from a prison camp controlled by the Israeli government, completely blockaded from the outside world? If so, why has the right-wing government empowered and enhanced the credibility of these people who you say want to eradicate all Jews by pushing for policies of displacement and annexation (if not outright aid)? If their view is one of annihilate or be annihilated, why is the Israeli government intent on making their propaganda more credible by giving them what they want? Clearly the right-wing Israeli government don't fear them and that possibility as much as a Palestinian state or even worse in their view, a multiethnic/religious democracy. They thought they had them contained and subdued. But like all right-wingers high on their supposed expertise on security matters, they completely dropped the ball and failed. Ultimately, why do you fear them? This all the same nonsense as when Bush told us the terrorists want to kill us, without any sort of reflection on why that may be. There are always psychos attracted to causes that allow them to do terrible deeds, but the majority are motivated by something more than pure nihilism, but if you foreclose the possibility of a future, the nihilists will certainly increase in number.

Ok and if we take various government officials in Israel at their words and actions, they are intent on genocide too

Whatever the case, a bunch of credulous dupes have retweeted it or quoted and given it much more visibility

The Red Cross/Red Crescent should get with Iran and have them set up a refugee settlement in Iran. Then arrange safe transport out of Gaza for any women or child that wants to leave. I'm sure Israel would allow safe transport for women and children out of Gaza.

Thanks. I first saw that allegation, then saw skepticism in that it had not been confirmed, then saw tweets quoting a French journalist that had supposedly seen it. But the IDF was there, and if they don’t have the information, it sounds suspect.

Iran makes little sense as a destination, geographically and culturally.

    It’s all just so horrible.
