Probably some truth in that given the videos I’ve seen. Still, if I was a Hamas scumbag with an AK I would much prefer to find victims with no arms at all rather than those armed with pistols and 50 rounds. A pistol might get a reasonably motivated Israeli an AK under the right circumstances.

Events like this separate the cowards from those who have strength.

Some of the discourse in here reminds me of some of the sides that people take when a woman is raped. Some are saying the equivalent of “Let’s go get the rapist and make him pay for his crime.” Others are doing the equivalent of blaming the woman…saying she wanted to be raped…and they cower at the prospect of wielding the sharp edge of the sword of government with strength when it is most needed.

    Choose strength not cowardice.

Most of their victims are unarmed. Only 2 percent of Israelis own guns. Don’t get swept up in the web of deceit being propagated here.

I believe the gun laws are being relaxed, more and more citizens are procuring permits.

I read the same. Classic case of slamming the barn door shut after the horses have escaped.

OT: when Ambassador Stevens died in Benghazi on the anniversary of 9-11, he was in the safe room. Smoke inhalation. To this day I don’t think anyone knows why he left Tripoli. But that’s off topic

Trump leaked like a sieve, and may as well be a traitor, but I doubt very much anything he leaked to Lavrov was used here. Although if there was evidence his leaks involved specific vulnerabilities in the iron dome, something like that would obviously change my mind. The sad realty is we’ll never know of those details. If he leaked this information - even if the governments of the U.S. and Israel knew of it occurring, everything about it would still be classified. The U.S government wouldn’t specifically acknowledge it happened.

If the United States still exists in 50 years, maybe it will eventually be declassified to future generations much like Nixon’s treasonous dealings with North Vietnam (extending the Vietnam War) were only declassified a few years ago. The classification of Nixon’s activities spared him the firing squad.

LOL, anything to undermine Israel. Bring up a death of a totally unrelated party, if that's what it takes. Hamas is happy to have you lawyering for them.

I don’t want to speak for @duchen here, but just a heads up that it could be taken as quite offensive to accuse a Jewish person of advocating for Hamas for doing nothing more than posting an interesting aside.

    Horrible.

[Refresh from above]--I think it's a good juxtaposition of Israel b4 the attack...and the @#$%$@'s who perpetrated the attack-a peak at who they are].

I’ll wait for more information, but it looks like what he shared with Russia was related to ISIS techniques for sneaking explosives onto aircraft via laptop computers. Given that we were cooperating with Russia at the time to defeat ISIS in Syria and the President has the authority to decide when and where to share intelligence, this might have been okay, not just legally but ethically.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think Israel would share specific intelligence with us about how their Iron Dome is vulnerable. If it really was just a matter of it could be overwhelmed with enough rockets, well, I’m pretty sure everyone already knew that, just because any system can be overwhelmed with enough numbers.

Seems as if bibi focused on the West Bank and mistakenly believed that their underground walls to stop Hamas from building tunnels would be enough.
