It’s not an either-or. Arab states also fund Hamas. But its primary source of funding and (key word) direction is Iran, not any Arab state.

But I mean, gosh, if we want to start pointing fingers at states that fund Hamas, we now have to look hard at ourselves.

 

They are alway at war . They do this shit to Palestinian civilians all the time. While I don’t like innocent civilians been killed on either side it’s a strong move of retribution so glad they managed to strike back. Unfortunately the Israelis will kill 10 times the # of innocents.

Yes let’s not do that anymore. We give 3.8B in military aid to Israel. Needs to stop now. Also am annoyed by all those Christian charities soliciting money to feed elderly holocaust survivors in Israel. They can do that on their own as well. Not sure what we give the other side but it’s a relative pittance clear they aren’t getting military aid to defend themselves.

 

Not happy per se but totally understand it. I won’t even address you bringing Ukraine into the discussion because it’s so stupid it’s making my finely tuned brain hurt.

Lastly, it is a very bad thing for Saudis and Israel to have a peace agreement. Neither are Allie’s of the US and they Don’t share our values.

You’re better than that. there are mechanisms on how that money gets dispersed. Setting aside whether or not that money can go towards nefarious purposes it’s likely given the shortness of time no money has been released and certainly not the full 6B. To the extent Iran was involved in any of this it’s been planned for months and material was scorched and positioned long ago.

 

Not even sure how you can do those gymnastics. If you have a BofA account and a credit union account does it really matter which accounts you use to pay bills. Absurd to think some restrictions you put on inbound funds to credit union account has anything to do with where you spend your BofA funds and the Iranians have already publicly stated as such

 

Well, that’s a relief. We can now stop payment of that money then, since the Iranians clearly acted in bad faith … as usual. Problem solved. I will keep quiet now.

 

At the end of the day, it’s a fight over land, control, rights and dominance. Religion is what the powers that be use to sell the locals on supporting and engaging in the bloodshed.
