Thankfully the IDF has been undeterred by this premature ceasefire nonsense. This is how you win vs these Islamist animals. If true and they really did take out Nasrallah I expect full press on ceasefire from the same people.

Not sure I would want to get promoted to a senior leadership position in that organization.

i respectfully disagree. The IDF is not letting up and they shouldn’t . Shocker as the targeted hezbollah command bunker was built directly under neighborhood. IDF demonstrating again and again that strategy is no longer safe or effective. Clearly hezbollah and Iran didn’t expect Israel to shift gears from Hamas so quickly and come this hard or this fast.

Yes seeing these guys get taken off the chess board is a good thing, wrecks their command and control short term.
But just like GWB with his card deck thinking he was ending terrorism, someone else will eventually rise up, it’s the ideas that are the enemy, the people like this are the manifestation.
it’s why Israel can’t truly win no matter how many fighters they take out, even if it buys them a few months or years, there’s another generation behind these, just as there has been for about a thousand years. And why at some point they will have to take another chance on peace, because this repetitive cycle of violence isn’t working for anyone. At some point it fits the definition of insanity. It won’t BiBi and it won’t be soon because they can’t be seen as capitulating to Oct 7, but it will happen.

I feel like Kamala is dancing drunk somewhere singing something like “down with Israel” or something like that.

The bombs are easier to make than the leaders are... So, bombs away... until they can't find "leaders" willing to die. They tried doing nothing, and all that happened is Israelis got killed... did NOT work. I would continue to trade bombs for terrorists.

It is no shocker. It is their political and military strategy. Just like Hamas, they chose to embed in or under schools, hospitals, mosques, homes or where people live. Because an integral part of their strategy is the deaths of civilians. So they can wave around dead children and scream genocide at Israel. To a world with welcome ears. Netanyahu was spot on yesterday: If terrorists launched 8000 missiles from Mexico and El Psaso has to be evacuated, wait would the US do? Not wait 11 months to go on the offensive. That’s for sure. Would the US bomb their leadership, armaments if they were embedded in civilian areas? Just look at Mosul of you want your answers. Nazrallah and his leadership are dead. The head has been cut off a snake. Hans, Hezbollah, Iran— they don’t want peace. They want time to regroup during a ceasefire

    you don’t know your history
Israel has taken many chances at peace. They succeeded with Jordan and Egypt and with the Abraham Accords. It is Iran and it’s proxies that don’t want peace.

Recent events serve the US and Saudis Immediate interest of a weakened Iran and Shiite backed force. Assads position in Syria is being seriously undermined now. Hezbollah ignored israel for a long time because it was preoccupied in Syria propping up Assad. There were celebrations in the streets in Syria yesterday after news of the bombings reached them. Now, Hezbollah has a real leadership crises. Hezbollah saw Israel’s lack of preparation for Hamas and Gaza and miscalculated that Israel would be equally unprepared to deal with Hezbollah. Israel has Ben very focused on Iran and Hezbollah. Maybe to the poor they misjudged and ignored Hamas. And, perhaps posters here don’t know it, Lebanon has a government that is not Hezbollah. It is a figurehead government because Hezbollah’s military controls the country. It serves US and Saudi interests to change that equation. Events of the past two weeks are major victories for US interests and our was pathetic to see Austin’s sad face yesterday or to hear the leaks that the US was disappointed in Israel’s actions. Hezbollah is a terrorist organization that needs to be weakened it eliminated. It is responsible for killing Americans. They aren’t going to just quit on their own or make peace. I wonder if the government statements would be different if this were not an election year. I will disembark again from here soon

And this time, Netanyahu specifically called out Iran and stoppers all pretext leaning otherwise. Iran needs to stop forcing its proxies to war on its behalf.

The message here I think is we can take out the leadership. I think that would give any leader pause. Especially the mullahs in Iran

That is correct. When Israel responded to the attack by Iran in April, they sent a message. One missile into the radar that Iran uses to detect threats in its nuclear site. That tells them that they are naked to defend themselves. And their leadership knows that they are exposed if Iran attacks. And Israel has very good Intel about Iran. The regime is hated by most Iranians, but propped up by the IRGC

Message going forward to Iran Hamas and hezbollah and the world is Israel will no longer play along with the human shields strategy. If those ‘organizations’ continue to choose that strategy the civilian deaths as a result will be on them. Period. It’s a dramatic shift as that barbaric strategy was the cornerstone of their military strategy and tactics and they are now forced to rethink all of it

Nasrallah came out of hiding and went to his underground “office” to watch Netanyahu’s speech with Nasrallah’s advisors. Bibi said he want going to go— they had moved him to Thursday— but he decided to go because if all the Israel bashing at the UN. We now know that his speech was part of the op. Hope Nasrallah liked it!

The human shield strategy is for world and US consumption. No country plays by the rules demanded of Israel. The US certainly didn’t in Iraq or Afghanistan. And not every shot is going to be a perfect shot. And there will be mistakes. And those who take shots they now they should not. War is not crime and punishment. The leadership in Iran today said that Israel is a small country and can’t win. He is right that Israel is small— which is why it must be stronger, smarter and better. And why these are existential threats.
