Literally almost everything you said is completely inaccurate but i know that isn’t going to give you pause. Maybe i missed it but don’t remember you posting “ Hamas just came in unannounced, didn’t drop leaflets, didn’t give advance warning. Hamas didn’t even send in aid truck prior to their attack… so sloppy to come in on gliders and motorcycles and just kil everything in their path. soooo sloppy . “ “

Some people don’t like Israel. If what happened to Israel happened to the US you can damn well guarantee that those posters would be saying keep going until all hostages are released at least.

The military response should line up with the objective. I don’t think that’s an unreasonable thing to expect. In terms of delivering brute horror to the other side’s civilian population, I’d say Israel was even within the first 48 hours of bombing. It’s now 7 months later. But again, if the goal is to get rid of Hamas, this doesn’t seem like a viable way to accomplish it. The desperate situation among Gazans make it easier for Hamas leaders to train and recruit new fighters. For all we know, there are more Hamas fighters in Gaza today than ever before.

If they are trying to end Hamas, why aren't they going after the leaders of Hamas?

The issue is complicated by public opinion in the Arab world, that the Palestinian cause is perceived as a cause for all Arabs, and Hamas is seen as the only group standing up for Palestinian, and Arab, rights. At the same time, Israeli hard liners have been pushing conflict. In March last year, Israel announced a large land grab in the West Bank and after Oct 6, Israeli settlers have killed 460 Palestinians in land conflicts. The Abraham Accord that Jared thought was so successful, was merely a quid pro quo of trade deals for elites in Israel and Arab countries, and Palestine was left unrepresented and their plight ignored.

What's compelling in Gaza and the West bank is that Israel appears to be trying to push Palestinians entirely out of the region, under the guise of war, which Hamas has handed to them. I don't think the IDF is so inept that they failed to create safe zones, I think the objective is to force Jordan and Egypt to take all Palestinian refugees and then prevent their return - and if they don't accept the refugees then Palestine will go through catastrophic suffering. For Jordan and Egypt, accepting Palestinian refugees is a red line and Israel knows this.

Exactly, because it is more about pushing palestinians out than about ending Hamas. Israel will take the land and continue wringing their hands about how hard it is to defend themselves while building new homes for Israelis on palestinian land.

Not sure how to wrap head around the ignorance. Where have they been while Hamas was in control of ‘Palestine’? Chanting to free free LGBTQ Palestinians from hamas…….Now they find a voice ? Are they completely oblivious to lifespan of an LBTQ in ‘Palestine’ under Hamas rule compared to their Jewish neighbors? Or did they just eat shrooms and want go protest oppressors somewhere and concluded… F it. Road trip to Disney

You have a decent point. There seems to be some inconsistency regarding Palestinian LGBQT people..

At the same time, Israel continues to commit war crimes as a response to terrorism. Estimates are over 35,000 civilian dead with up to 70% being women and children. Estimated 100,00 or more wounded. Possible oncoming famine that could impact over 1 million people.

We pick our outrages, and it says something about us. Interesting to see which bothers you.

I’ll hazard a guess you won’t be protesting Hamas taking shelter in a refugee camp per the cnn article below, frankly surprised they wrote it . It’s also very interesting you can’t see the combination of ignorance, enabling and naivety in not protesting Hamas grip of Gaza then not protesting the slaughtering of Israelis and then not then protesting when Hamas retreats and hides among civilians. So of course Hamas will continue to hide and regroup among civilians, you enabled and encouraged that strategy and it will continue. But sure. Keep negotiating with Dahmer and Rolling. They are reasonable people open to negotiation. Hamas is to blame for the deaths of civilians. It was and still is their strategy to sacrifice their people for their cause. Thanks to your support. Full stop

Its just that Israel are the good guys so that comes with expectations. Expectations around the safety of civilians, not Hamas. They are in a tough spot but its been a poorly run campaign.

You guys are pretty funny about criticizing the US government under Biden on every decision but try to spin criticizing Israel's poorly run operation as soft on Hamas, or even worse, Hamas supporters.

Protesting a terrorist organization is a fools errand. Protests are intended to influence people and governments that are capable of reason and empathy. Hamas is not those things. It’s the same reason people weren’t protesting Al Queda after 9/11. What’s the point?

It not clear to me how dropping bombs on civilians protects LGBTQ Palestinians either, so the IDF if obviously a greater threat to their existence than Hamas currently.

The point as always is to discredit the protests by throwing out kitchen sink nonsense. Weird how all the people that hate the protestors think they are doing it wrong or are stupid, etc.

I would disagree that’s it’s been a ‘poorly run campaign”. I’ve sourced my viewpoint with specific data that says the IDF is performing at a high level and by high level I mean the number/ percentages of civilian casualties in urban combat. That’s absent of the fact this is the first sustained major conflict that one side (Hamas) has an incentive for their own civilians to be killed. And is no doubt aiding in more civilians being killed. To demonstrate the not so stunning disinterest in Hamas getting their own people killed I sourced a CNN article showing how Hamas was using a refugee camp to regroup because they know they can count people to be outraged at the refugees being killed while hide behind them. And of course nobody will say Free Free refugee camps from being used as shields. Again Hamas started all this by using a ceasefire to plan and fund an attack on civilians. Those plans included turning and taking refuge in civilian populations areas and they only do that because they can count on people such as on this board that enable and encourage it. And unfortunately that strategy works

Why do you keep arguing that Hamas is bad? No one disagrees with that.

That would not be a goal for me, because its not one that can be accomplished through warfare. Hamas arent an army or military force. If you make it a point that "terrorists can not be negotiated with" how can you expect a surrender? This is how Israel has found itself in an aimless war where its only plan is to drop bombs wherever people are. Your question is like asking the UK what their plan was to eliminate the IRA, which they never could. If I were Israel, I would abandon Zionism and integrate Palestinians as equal citizens, and ban Hamas as a political party.

Sure can't agree with you on this. Hamas is a terrorist organization with military capability due to arms and money infusions by Iran and others, who attacked Israel and killed many innocent civilians just because they were Jews, after spending years building a war infrastructure using that money and arms. I would never recommend negotiating with a muslim organization that doesn't actually believe in lasting negotiations, just look at the past ---I still say, that Israel is making a mistake if they stop before eliminating the Hamas infrastructure and taking out all Hamas leaders. If they do, it will be a repeat in the near future.

So your solution is have Israel stand down, not get their hostages back and let Hamas build back up their forces and munitions and plan yet another attack on Israel. I'm wondering why Israel didn't hire you as a part of their defense team...
