There are no atrocities in Gaza. You have ignored every post identifying the terrorist’s use of civilian infrastructure. That reduces your asset in of atrocities or genocide to a blood libel. Your opinions aren’t supported by facts— facts that you choose to ignore. But that doesn’t make them a reality. October 8 doesn’t happen, Israel Omar engaged in Gaza at all. The terrorists may not care about Israel’s army. That’s their problem. But without an army, Israel would face mass slaughter. And the surrounding states do care. It is why There is a cold peace with Egypt and Jordan. No nation should cower from terror. You didn’t even mention October 7. And You missed the entire point of the Holocaust reference. That point was that 75 years ago, 6 million Jews were killed because Jews were weak and unarmed and couldn’t fight back. Now, Jews can fight back. And are. That is the meaning of “never again.” And the Arabs have hatred Jews for a long time. It is why the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem aligned with Hitler. It is why they slaughtered Jews in 1929. All before the State of Israel. What happened October 7 is nothing new. And it is widely supported by the Palestinians, just as they slaughtered Jews in 1929 and supported Hitler.

    Anytime someone criticizes Israel...
Jews scream, Antisemitism, blah blah blah.
And, Blood Libel, blah blah blah.

You can be anti-Israel and/or anti-zionist and NOT be antisemitic.

    O
RE your last sentence: I don’t doubt that some folks can walk that fine line but it is, indeed, a very fine line. I think perhaps you meant disagreement with the IDF as opposed to Israel. There are even Israeli Jews that disagree with IDF actions. Those actions are, however, the result of a brainwashed tribe of fiendish and bloodthirsty terrorists poking the largest and closest and most pissed off hornet nest that they could have poked.

When I say Israel in these contexts I mean the government.

It’s getting really old. Jewish people are unnecessarily ostracizing themselves from people who have no hatred or ill will towards the Jewish people by castigating anyone who doesn’t walk in lock step with Netanyahu as an “anti-semite.” It’s doing them no favors so I’m not sure why they do it.

RE your first sentence: Neither you nor I know exactly what is happening in Gaza and we might never know all. I agree that what is happening is necessary but the possibility exists that there are occurrences that are handled worse than they could be. We hope that the IDF is better trained and better disciplined than to purposely commit atrocities, but we don’t have a guaranty of that. I pray that some level-headed Palestinians can realize how Hamas’ atrocities are the catalyst that precipitated the current situation and can rise to power in the rebuild, but I’ll not hold my breath.

I understand that that is probably how most on the board mean it. I sometimes cringe a bit, though, because to me Israel means the state comprised of the actual land and inhabitants. It is young and small, has some diversity, has its own inherent problems, and it’s majority population is largely disliked around the world for a reason or reasons that do not register with me.

When I state Israel, I mean Netanyahu and his blood-thirsty, vengeful far-right wack-a-doodle cronies in the Knesset. When I say Israel, I do not mean the Jewish people.

I steadfastly support the Jewish people, not Netanyahu.
I steadfastly support the Palestinian people, not Hamas.

I posted real articles about what Israel has found in Civilian areas. Accusations of genocide are anti-Semitic. That’s the nature of false accusations of that tor. There is mo middle ground and it comes from the people who ignore fact and then just repeat the falsehoods.

Sorry again. I have repeatedly posted links to what has been discovered in Gaza. They are just ignored.

That’s not anti-semitism. It’s a disagreement about what constitutes genocide. If someone thinks what Israel is doing to Palestinians is genocide does not mean they hate Jewish people. That’s total horseshit.

When someone claims that it is genocide when it is clearly not.. the reason for doing so would seem to be anti semitic.
Genocide seldom comes with a forewarning and plead to leave the area about to be bombed. Seldom comes with allowing humanitarian aide in to the people the genocide is supposedly wiping out.

I don’t think it’s abundantly clear that it’s not genocide. A LOT of innocent people have died. In any event, suggesting it’s genocide does NOT mean you hate Jews. Good lord. I get you take everything coming out of Israel’s PR team as 100% gospel. Some people don’t. That doesn’t mean they hate Jews. Just quit with this anti-Semitic shit.
