It would invite an immediate similar attack. Bibi is a a corrupt nutty fascit but he’s not crazy. Hopefully he’s ousted shortly

I think it’s also just too close to home more than anything.

Pakistan Russia Sudra Arabia. might be a dirty bomb with plausible deniability but it won’t go unanswered. A balancing nuclear force in the are would be stabilizing though.

That may be true for Iran, though the brutality serves them well in galvanizing the region into conflict.

I don't know how well it serves them. Talking about either the brutality or conflict in general. History is replete with antagonists who thought they could calibrate conflict to bring about perfectly beneficial ends and they almost never do

As noted in the WSJ article
The point is, the events are raw and chaotic and the complexity behind the attack will take time to unravel.

Israel is still giving its usual pre-warning of attack before it hits targets in Gaza. At this point, if you’re going to do it, just let her rip and don’t apologize for it ahead of time. Hamas will always maintain the pleasure of being more ruthless, even if they lose the broader war, which they won’t.

My thoughts exactly. The only country that has nukes and that might care (enough) if Israel uses a nuke against Muslims is Pakistan. And I don’t think either the range of their weapons or the potential benefit versus cost is sufficient to strike Israel.

Ultimately, I think your are right and I can only hope it becomes their downfall. The question is how much time and destruction until then.

I was thinking along the lines of a Hamas supporter using something nuclear if Israel decides to turn the eastern mile of all of Gaza into a landfill heap.

Thanks for the post stating this attack may be the sweet demise of Benny. I really, really hope so. The Israeli people deserve better.

However, it is historical record that when a nation is attacked, its people unite in spirit. See 9/11 when George Bush Jr's went from 49% approval to a historical high of 85% approval.

The US went from very divided to being largely unified. I bought American flags for my car and had a flag post installed at my home from where to fly Old Glory.

Hot sure how some rando Hamas supporter is going to get something nuclear unless they’re an exceedingly wealthy emir, Suadi prince etc. even that would take a long time. that’s said SA could buy a couple tomorrow if they wanted and I do envision a dirty bomb being used in the future. I”m glad I likely won’t be around in 30 years. World is going to suck.

Not sure this counts for much considering GWB left office as one of the most unpopular presidents in US history.

All of which you describe is totally plausible. I hope you are right in that the good people of Israel say fork you to Benny and run his corrupt arse out of the country. I pray and hope you are correct.

    The Israeli people deserve better.

However, I can easily see this attack on Israel reunite a fractious country that largely hated Bibi and his corrupt, far right Government that has recently assaulted the Judicial system, rendering it most impotent.

Now, since the Judicial system has largely been castrated, an attack on Israel gives Benny and his newly found political friends (the Jets) carte blanche to attack Gaza with impunity.

Further, when Israel proves that Hamas and Iran (as proxy) that funded and coordinated this attack, which is likely, Israel will retaliate against Iran.

Although Russia probably didn't have any direct role in the terrorist attack it is supporting Hamas.

This explanation is plausible. Please don't dismiss false flag theory until you've entertained the possibility. Not saying this is a false flag, but your immediate dismissal is disconcerting with regards to your intelligence.

Do you always jump to conclusions so fast, or only in this instance?

"The true sign of intelligence is that ability to entertain an idea without accepting it."
