Because of attacks on them from Gaza, because of attacks on them from Israel, because of attacks on them from Gaza, because of attacks on them from Israel, because of attacks on them from Gaza, because of attacks on them from Israel, because of attacks on them from Gaza, because of attacks on them from Israel, because of attacks on them from Gaza, because of attacks on them from Israel, because of attacks on them from Gaza, because of attacks on them from Israel, and round and round we go.

Based on the demographics of Gaza, only about 3% of their population remembers a time when there wasn't violence coming from Israel. On the Israeli side, because they have so much more immigration, they have more people who haven't lost family members and friends to Gazan violence, but the conflict has been going on for generations. Trying to pin the blame on one side or the other is a futile exercise at this point. There is no good side.

An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. How many Israeli family members and friends of those slain in the October 7th atrocities are now willing to consider violence against Gaza when they were previously willing to consider peace? How many Palestinian family members and friends of those slain in the attacks since then are now willing to consider violence against Israel when they were previously willing to consider peace?

There are only three paths towards peace in that region. The elimination of the Israelis, the elimination of the Palestinians, or an international peace keeping force enforcing peace for long enough that the majority of both countries no longer feels a need to hit back. I don't see any of those three things as viable options in our current political climate. So the conflict will continue and both sides will increase the amount of innocent blood on their hands.

I think showing someone's intact body after you said you bombed them might raise some other questions

You must be for closed boarders according to your post above, right? I mean people's from other nations are no different that the nation themselves in the grand scheme of things.

It's nice to know you believe in national sovereignty.

Its only not viable because of our taking the side of Israel, if we didn't, an international solution would be more viable. The UN votes are laughably lopsided on the issue, its basically our veto and clout in the way. At one time our presidents used to reign in the worst impulses of the Israelis, but I think we've more or less just decided they can do whatever they want. Seeing a supposedly liberal president hug a ruthless right-wing nationalist anti-democratic crook in support is particularly discouraging. But that's America for you, we cant overlook a lot of things if you buy weapons from us.

I see what you are saying, the assumption being that this is an actual person not an unnamed "senior commander"

"We are learning more about the strike that took place earlier today on the Jabalia refugee camp," Yingst explained. "The Israelis say that fighter jets targeted the commander of Hamas's central Jabalia battalion. His name [was] Ibrahim Biari, and he was responsible, according to the Israelis, for a number of attacks."

He was in the Jabalya camp along with scores of Hamas terrorists who were killed. This is why they place their terrorists in places like this. So they can dissuade Israel from taking action or wave dead children around and win a propaganda war.

Israel used to open the gates at the border to allow Gazans to work in Israel. It is why they Intel Hamas had about the kibbutzim they invaded was so specific. Israel and Egypt try to control what gets into Gaza, but it is obviously very loose. Gaza also had a port. Calling it a prison is also wrong
