I mean, why not? She was an Inside Edition producer for 4 years and more importantly is married to Donald Trump’s almost a genius son, Eric. The death grip of Trump on this party may just be unshakeable.

Trump endorses daughter-in-law for RNC role as he tightens grip on party

Donald Trump moved to tighten his grip on the Republican party, announcing a slate of endorsements, including his daughter-in-law Lara Trump, for leadership positions within the Republican National Committee.

The approach of turbulence within the RNC – which helps organize the party and its elections – has been apparent since last week, when its chair, Ronna McDaniel, who has held the position since 2017, told the former US president that she would be stepping down.

Overnight on Monday, Trump posted on his social media site that he is backing Michael Whatley, chair of the North Carolina Republican party, as committee chair, Lara Trump to serve as co-chair, and senior adviser Chris LaCivita as its chief financial officer.

“This group of three is highly talented, battle-tested, and smart,” Trump wrote in a statement. “They have my complete and total endorsement to lead the Republican National Committee.”

The affiliation needs to be renamed. This is the MAGA party. Maybe she can change the party name to Trump party to reflect the reality and drive out the rest of the members who don't want maga in charge

I would have read this as humorous hyperbole a few years ago but now it seems almost inevitable. They won’t win many elections, but they’ll sell a ton of merch.

While the are some rare exceptions the membership of Republican party of today consists of two types of persons, those who worship Trump like he is the leader of a cult (the majority of Republican voters) and those who are so afraid that the former will vote them out of office if directed by their orange cult leader (the overwhelming majority of Republican politicians) that when Trump says "Jump" they respond by saying "How high, sir ?".

Still a bunch of Trump voters that think his antics are minor and that the GOP is the lesser of the bad choices. That is the group that shocks the shit out of me. I get drinking the cool aid and being a nut. What I dont get is objectively looking at Trump and going "I like the supreme court pics and the tough talk so much that I will ignore all the malfeasance of Trump and vote like a good soldier".

I can at least rationalize in my head the voters who think that Supreme Court, abortion, or another single issue is so important to them that they'll vote for Trump no matter what, even if they don't care for him. While I don't agree, I can at least understand that. What I can't fathom are the people who continue to defend almost everything he says and does.

And we're still dealing with the remnants of that today.

While Bobby Kennedy may not have been the most qualified potential attorney general before being nominated by his brother he was the Chief Counsel to the U.S. Senate's Select Committee on Improper Activities in Labor and Management. Much more qualified than Lara Trump as co Chair of the RNC Unless I missed it she never held a senior position in a political party or managed a major political campaign. And let's not forget Jared Kushner and Ivanka who weren't remotely qualified although they were the Don's most trusted advisors. Joe Kennedy may have had a history of sleaziness he never came close to the Don of the Trump crime family.

How about just the anti-commie coalition?

    I'd take that.

You do realize that the primary driving force behind MAGA, is your party's hell bent desire to go full @#$%#$%@# commie, no?

(Prolly not, but that's fine. I'm enjoying wathing your radical fringe consume your party's center, and alienate the ever loving hell out of the country's center. So much so, that the dreaded orange demon of y'alls collective nightmare, has long overtaken China Joe in nation wide polls, and continues to ascend...).

There you go again with that false dichotomy bullshit. Failing to worship Trump does not make one some kind of America hating communist.

Call it a false dichotomy if you want, but let's be clear what we're actually saying here. I'm not saying the failure to worship trump = communism; I'm saying the driving force behind the hard back lash against the dems, is their determination to continue going hard left (or going full Q#!@#$ commie, but hey, if that's going to cause you problems, we can soften the language up).

The point is that MAGA is THE reaction, not the primary force.

Now, y'all's utterly batshit unhinged repsonse to that, is in a league of it's own. It's just plain crazy. At least the commie stuff that y'all started out with, had some kind of rhyme or reason to it...

But the primary reaction of rejecting commie bullshit, reamains well intact, regardless what flaming batshit y'all engage in, because ppl refuse to buy Commie-dem bullshit.

    ;)

If you think the OP's thread title is bad, just wait until he names himself Emperor for life. Can't wait to see what that
    cabinet will look like.

    Couple of guesses:
MTG (I hate you and everyone else) - Justice
Matt (I like em young) Gaetz: Secretary of State

Exactly. The entire premise of this movement is false. It's how populists roll.

Dems should be happy about this.
It looks awful to independents and she will do about as well as every other Trump hand picked person has. His track record is god awful.

    You win twice.
