Charlie Creme of ESPN currently has the Lady Gators projected as a 7-seed in the Waco portion of the bracket. Had they not had the end-of-season collapse, they could have pushed for a Top 4 seed and hosted the 1st two rounds. Where do you think the Lady Gators would fare best in this bracket at Baylor, at Iowa State, or at UConn?

Iowa State would probably be our best chance at a S16, but personally, I expect we'll most likely end up as an 8 seed, partially due to the late season slide, partially due to losing Kiki and partially due to the way the bracket will fall with many SEC teams ahead of us on the 2/3/6/7 lines. Kentucky will pass us seeding-wise with their shock upset over SC to win the SEC tournament today.

I don't have great hope for much of a run with a lower seed and without Kiki but would love to at least see us win one game to have another positive step to build on going forward. Assuming nothing *else* goes wrong, I think we can still play with anyone we could possibly be faced with in round 1. There's a fairly good chance we could see an in-state foe in round 1 with Miami, UCF, USF and FGCU all also figuring in the 7-10 seed range. Miami has finished the season hot making the ACCT final, but I would be happy enough with any of those matchups.

Just getting the experience of the NCAA is a plus. Without Kiki, I don't see us getting past Round 2, but just one win would be big for the progression of the program. We really don't want to go 1 and done against a lower seed and be 1-5 to close out the season. Get to Round 2 and hope for an upset. It is doable, but tough. A Sweet 16 is probably too much to hope for, but would pay huge dividends. We don't want UConn. Their seed this year has a lot to do with having injuries they dealt with earlier in the season. I will take Iowa State or Baylor and hope for a game where we click and pull an upset. Of course a lot is dependent on Jordyn... assuming she will be full go.
