This Gator team runs hot and cold at the plate and on the bump. I would not be surprised with a 2 and Q or three straight wins.

Not having Ty Evans and Hayden Yost hurts. Evans has been our 2nd best hitter all year and Yost was really coming on. If the pitching steps up, we can be dangerous.

Yost had been hitting it better but had been flashing some fancy leather. Didn't Yost make two Sports Center worthy catches in one inning recently? The homer robber was really special. It just wasn't leaping high but running parallel to the wall and making the leap.

Would it hurt them to post the date of the game?

Even the day of the week would be helpful......:ninja:

Nebraska is better than some of the teams that beat Gators- UCF, Stetson, StJ, StM, JU, scUM, Mizzou- but Gators won series against teams that are FAR better than Nebraska. Mizzou is the only SEC team Gators played that is not better than/comparable to Nebraska. Nebraska ace surely is very good, but Gators routinely faced better. No team in the Big 10 would be in the top half of the SEC, Gators would have been in good shape in the Big 10 race, even with their flaws. All that being said, Gators need to put inconsistency behind them. Some of the Gator losses were to teams comparable to Niagra. Gators might win in three or go two and BBQ.

Got to start Peterson. He has grown into the role of being a top flight pitcher and the experience for next year is huge. Give him a chance at a big stage.

If things work out and Peterson's start is a win and then Cags wins we have lots of breathing room.

In a perfect storm Cade is then locating and when he does that he is really good.

Agree.....hopefully you don't have to burn too many other guys in the first 2 games (Neely and Jameson specifically). Need not only quality starts but to go relatively deep, something Jac has struggled with both years

Truthfully Jac’s last three starts were less impressive than he’s been in quite some time.

I think that that Coppola fits in there somewhere. Maybe the fourth starter assuming we get that far/need one.

I like Cags and then Jake all day long and twice on Sunday, especially with 4 left handed hitters

True and we are probably still the most talented team in the regional. We battle every at bat and focus on contact and we throw strikes we can be really a tough out.
