Our 2024 schedule has been known for a while.

If Napier didn’t want to face these controversies, why no sense of urgency in 2023? Why play conservative so much? Why the idiotic playcalls? Why not hire a ST coordinator?

Napier finds himself on a hot seat and with a brutal schedule in 2024. By year 3 you should have your $hit together and ready to produce results. If we still don’t know that we can expect improvement then we need to head in a different direction.

The “process” has become a punchline.

    Just win…

How about a 4 or 5 time-championship program? We can always lie. It has worked pretty well for Lane Kiffen. Oh, he has not won any championships as a head coach. Never mind.

I like the Sark approach better but he is not leaving Texas to come to UF.
We are two years into the Napier experiment. Why not give him 4 or 5? Those people almost always succeed. It is better than starting over.

I have read that science is full of people who quit right before they make a great discovery that someone else did later. If they had just gone on a little longer.

As the British like to say, "In for a penny. In for a pound"

You have already made the big sacrifice in starting. It is certainly easier to keep going than to start over.

The big breakthroughs in life, science, etc are made by those who keep going.

The "process" is meaningless as used by detractors. There is no such thing as a process coach or, more correctly, everyone is a process coach. Someone heard Napier mention the "process" or "method" and mistakenly inferred that Napier was saying he had some secret "process".

Process means method. Every coach has a method. Obviously. Napier is just saying to follow the method that produces the results that you want. If you stick to the method, sooner or later, you will succeed.

Almost everything in life involves a process that you practice and repeat until you can perform it flawlessly.

That is the essence of athletics.

That is what all coaches do. The difference between Napier and Kirby Smart is that Kirby has worked longer with his players and probably has players with more talent.

If Napier goes on for 4 or 5 years he will players who are better trained and he will probably get better players.

It is not unusual for a new coach to come in after another coach has been fired and win with the other coach's players.

Meyer did it in two places. Meyer used it to guarantee a fast start. Spurrier did it. He won with almost no one new. Mullen won with Mac's players.

Unfortunately, Napier had to start with a broken program which made his job harder than the others.

Lane has won with others' players everywhere he has been. There is a good possibility that Mike Elko will win at Texas A&M with Jimbo Fisher's players. It is often just a change of scenery so to speak. A new coach. A fresh look. The perfect setting for a new coach.

If Napier is fired the new coach will get the benefit of all that Napier has built up from nothing. Our program was completely destroyed before Napier came in. Napier wasted a year on AR because AR was going to take the money as soon as it was available and he did just that.

He needs a chance but I do not think that Napier is going to get it. We will see.

Napier has now signed 3 Portal players as well as getting a recent commitment from JuCo player 3 years out of high school. Is he still a “Process” coach?
