I understand that. I am very much aware. I am also aware of how crazy the list of topics is when matched with things he has stood against. I am also aware that a not so tech savvy reporter may be easy to fool by someone with the technical aptitude to trick them.

Again. I have no reason to defend MR. I wish he would wither up and blow away. Its just my 50k ft view

This shouldn't be surprising. How often have we seen GOP pols railing against gays or pedophiles only for them to get caught with other men or with a hard drive full of child porn. Every accusation is a confession.

 

The problem is that you can't look at this under 50k feet and come to that conclusion. Fooled how? Tell me the process by which a tech savvy person could fool the third-party software that handles websites such as the one in question (or this one) into thinking a post happened a long time ago from an email address that you don't own. What is the process by which you also fool the archiving websites?

The CNN reporter that posted this is their researcher. His entire job is researching past dumb statements and activities of people running for office. He is very familiar with all of the technology in question, especially the archiving websites. He was a professional oppo researcher (for the Republicans, it should be noted) before BuzzFeed hired him. CNN hired him and his entire team away from BuzzFeed because of their success at digging up old quotes and videos of politicians. So, again, how does one go about fooling him?

 

The better question is if it is false...he should be suing for millions.

But what has come out so far is the disgusting words and behavior of a lifetime compressed into the release of info over a couple of weeks only 2 months before the election. I tend to believe it all (he has a bombastic nature, after all) but would not want to have my own words and behavior of a lifetime subjected to such scrutiny.

It’s interesting to me that Robinson’s own staff believes so strongly the claims are true that they have literally quit their jobs, but @tilly a poster I consider pretty grounded, doesn’t want to give it credence.

I wouldn’t count your chickens. Polls have Stein ahead of Robinson and Trump ahead of Harris. The latter is within the margin of error, but it appears voters may be more willing to split the ticket in NC.

Thats isnt really what I said. I didnt say it should be given credence. I said it all seemed hard to believe. BUT I also said Robinson is a moron ...so , who knows.

If I didn't give the concerns about him credence, than why have I repeatedly said I will NOT be voting for him?

This has also been a fast moving situation and the moves by his own people in the last day of so certainly seem to add legitimacy to the report.

He needs to step down immediately.
