Wright hasn't played since the October 8 Missouri game. He is on the depth chart, and he isn't listed as injured.

Can someone let us know what is going on with Nay'Quan? Something is noticeably wrong.

If Wright turns into a lost cause, UF may need to recruit a second RB in the 23 class or look to replace with an experienced transfer portal RB.

With Anthony Richardson finally waking up to his passing skills, Wright could have been useful at aTm both running and receiving out of the backfield.

Let me say that I like RB1 and RB2 on the depth chart. If Wright is upset with his demotion, that's a seriously bad mojo. Both have proven to be better than Wright.

I think he is a great pass catcher out of the backfield. Maybe slot WR? Hoping he stays and gets to play more though Montrell and Trevor are ballin' right now.

Bad mojo? It isn't personal, it's business.

If he wants to play, he needs to beat the ones ahead of him out. If he can't, then that's not an indictment on him or the coaching staff. That's just reality of where he is in relation to the other players on the team. If he is upset, maybe he can channel that energy try to move up the depth chart.

I happen think the others are simply better than Wright as a RB. Napier isn't one to play a rb solely to be a receiver out of the backfield, i.e. he doesn't want to let the defense key into pass play just because of personnel. I don't think defenses are terribly concerned with Wright as a rb.

If he is, he can't say has been given the "Whittmore treatment". It is what it is.

In another thread people are concerned about Whittmore not getting PT and here you want to move a rb into a wr spot.

Yes, as I follow along learning things about the team, "speculation" was that since Creed is not signing with us, his brother was going to transfer with him..... So I'm just hoping we can get another productive weapon on the field. Hey man, I wish every Gator could start and play and have a productive career as a Gator football player..... But there are decisions that have to be made by someone other than me. I just cheer for the Orange and Blue.

If AR was hitting the rb’s and te’s with the quick passes, Wright would be more useful.

Well, his best skill set as a pass receiver is not being used, so.....

No clue on his mindset but sitting on the bench behind 2 guys that will be back next year certainly would be a reason to move on for many and I wouldnt blame him. That's the nature of the game now.

I love Wright and was happy he won the starting job coming into the fall. But anyone whose been watching has seen that Etienne and Johnson have out preformed him.

With Webb coming in next year I just don’t see his role increasing next year. We are going to be short on numbers so truthfully it will probably be in everyone’s best interests if he moves on.

Next year the team will have Johnson, ETN, Webb, and probably Lingard (unless he wants to transfer out as well, but I hope not). Losing Wright, frankly, wouldn't impact the team. I'd rather lose him than Lingard

Wright was a legend in youth football in the Miami area… to the point that he was considered the number one player in Florida by some as as sophomore.
Unfortunately he suffered a devastating injury in high school, and while he recovered enough to play again he was never the player he was prior to the injury.
Then he was injured again at Florida. He still has skills, and is an excellent receiver, appears to be a fine young man and team mate, but we simply do not run an offense that utilizes his skills very well.
It’s his decision, but a transfer may be best for both parties.

I've not heard of anything that would suggest he's not a good kid, so having said that, if he chooses to transfer I understand and would wish him great success wherever he goes.

It's unfortunate... seems like a really nice kid. He just doesn't have the talent as those ahead of him. And he doesn't understand the blocking schemes of this offense as well.

Nay'Quan has great hands. I keep hoping that we will run some wheel routes to him.

He doesn’t? I just think he’s not as productive with the ball. His blocking is fine.

That’s a tough one. Sometimes you just never really recover. I tore my hamstring in college (avulsion and surgery) and that was my last race. I never was as fast after that and now that I’m getting middle aged it haunts me. His options could be limited even with the portal. Wonder if we have a coaching mentoring program for players who might not be able to start due to injury but who can get some coaching experience for a possible future in that field?

I would call it Good MoJo…as in a good MOntrell JOhnson. And a good Etienne.
At the beginning of the season, Wright was worth the snaps because he knew better who and how to block. As the season went on, Montrell and Etienne have caught up to him in that capacity. Add to that the fact that they are superior runners, Nayquan’s is getting left out. It is what it is. You can plainly see with your eyes how much better those two are now.
