Perhaps "funny" is an incorrect word. And I don't understand how this kid is on the team. He facilitated a murder the way I see it.

Yes, conspiracy/accomplice to commit murder or a felony. I don't pretend to know Alabama law, but if he knew his buddy was going to whack someone, he could be charged in most states.

"Intent" is a requirement for prosecution but there are generally four types for different levels of criminal activity. I'm not sure about Alabama law at all though. Deliberate, knowing, reckless and negligent.

For instance, not saying this is what happened here, but if your Alabama buddy texts something like, "These two damn Auburn fans are wearing me out. I hate 'em. They won't leave me alone and I'm sick of it. Hey, buddy, bring me my gun you're holding." Then you deliver it and "BAM!" one gets shot. That would seem to be a pretty easy case to prosecute . . . for at least something.

I just can't see how charges against the provider of the weapon used to kill were so easily simply overlooked, except when looking through the lens of this being a political decision (which shouldn't happen in prosecutions but, sadly, does). OR except . . . in the hypothetical case above, you have an incriminating text. I'm sure the police looked at texts. Here you can't force the defendant to testify and the other guy will just plead the 5th. So it could have been unpursued because it would be tough to impossible to win with no texts and no way to prove intent.

Or the police & DA overlooked charges because their palms got greased. ;)

Are we surprised? It's the same fans who root for their football team and we know how they are. Apparently the conference is threatening to eject fans for wearing the shirt.

Georgia fans have no trouble with people getting killed for sport success, no surprise Alabama fans are the same way.

Possible, yet highly unlikely. Look at the shadowing in the letters due to folds in the fabric. You'd have to be an amazing photoshopper to manage that kind of detail.

Kid is lucky he plays at Bama. Would likely be charged and on trial in other States. Parents are being charged when their weapon is used by a child at school, people are charged with murder when they are the get away driver in a robbery, …. When someone calls you and tells you to bring their gun and you drive it to a place, tell them one is in the chamber, and then it is used to murder someone while you are in vicinity, that is not innocent. Had it not been for his actions, no murder could have taken place. He supplied the murder weapon to the criminal and had to know it would be used for nefarious means. Again, another state, could have been charged if didn’t have license to carry, transport to crime scene, …. Lucky in Bama and a star basketball player. Just ethically he should be suspended from team.

I was thinking that the larger portion of the shirts or the entire shirts might have been superimposed, but it appears I was incorrect.

Maybe they are Bammer fans or Auburn, and if they are Tiger fans, they wouldn’t be able to live in the Tuscaloosa area without death threats and harassments.
