Those records are very close to the same. Zook did however have better wins yearly it seemed. I dont think zooks teams were ever as bad as what Napier inherited.
8 wins was good enough last year. We will see what happens this year. Theres more to it than numbers on paper.
I agree that Zook inherited a much better roster. Don't forget Zook got absolutely SCREWED out of 2 wins. 1 in 2003, and 1 in 2004. His last team also won its bowl game, which most likely would have occurred had he still been HC. You just can't lose to a MSU team that lost to Maine and expect to retain your job in Year 3.
It was 7. Beating a Tulane team without there QB is hardly a feather in the cap. All he did was not embarrass us this time like he did against Oregon State.

I control what I can control. Gators are a form of entertainment for me, so I try to enjoy it and let the folks running things worry about the hard stuff. If I wanted a seat at the table, I know how to get one. That would make it a job for me though, not just entertainment. Likewise, I’m sure you spend most of your personal time complaining about other things you will never be able to change.
