Is he "on record" as saying this? Link, please. Also......unless he is willing to turn over the play calling......I'm not sure it will change much. I hope I'm wrong......
And here's why the Bears are considering Kliff Kingsbury for OC. Probably a done deal! Bears' expected interview for OC job has strong connection to potential No 1 pick Caleb Williams: reports
Napier won't make it to 2025 if he doesn't get someone who knows how to call offensive plays. He has to realize he isn't good at it.
I wouldn't make the bet because I think he should remain the OC. I don't. I'd make it because I believe that HE thinks he should remain the OC.
I might be in the minority, i thought the Scripted first two series each Game were not that bad. Then the opposing DC "Oh, I see what you're doing..." and changes something hampering our offense, and then we don't have an OC in the booth to change anything. Have read (forget where) the new Co-DC will be in the booth as Armstrong's "Juice", his enthusiasm, is good for the sideline. Just need an OCish person in the booth that BN would listen to, I guess. There was once a stat about Mullen's first drive after the half over his entire career was extremely successful, able to change to cover the DC's changes. If only recruiting and talking to reporters was not a needed skill set... I don't think the current Offense had much in game changes Also, Michigan's offense to me looked like what Billy is trying to do. Shift to identify coverage/Mike... SOS spoiled me, the 90s were a great time, throw to set up the run. The Fun & Gun, SOS actually ran more than he threw, but that was not the feeling as Danny could audible with a look if Hillard or Anthony had single coverage. It's Great to be, a F L O R I D A - G A T O R!
