UF has a history of recruiting 3 star players (Brandon James, Kadarious Toney) that were the bomb and 5 star players that were a bust. Someone recently said they thought Jaden Robinson had a very high ceiling based on what he did in high school. Maybe? Maybe not? Who are some players you think have a very high ceiling? If you want, explain why and how you are hoping to see them contribute in 2024 and beyond?

    High ceiling?
Micah Handgloten…..because he would bump his head otherwise.

I think Kahleil Jackson fits the bill, I think he has a breakout year this coming season too. He only seems to get better year after year and this is the year he makes some noise at receiver for the Gators' football team.

He's fast... can catch acrobatic style (can catch nearly any the balls thrown his way) and he gets open fairly easily. He's long enough and fast enough to make a big difference... and he will show it this coming year.

The USCe game put people on notice... that he is the real deal.

I remember watching his grandfather play. Grandpa has good reasons to be proud! I agree, he will have a big year!!!

Lots of talent but high ceilings result from hard work and a drive to reach excellence.

Kelby Collins fits that bill if you mean this year. I also think Mertz, Wilson and Johnson Jr. can hit another level.

Hope also for Boardingham and Carroll.

Myles Graham and DJ Lagway maybe not this year but in their UF career.

Pup will be a star for us. Think both RBs will be drafted.

He came in very young and raw, but he is getting a body transformation like Lyons did. I won't count him out.

Kahleil Kackson came in under the radar and he turned some heads once he made his way onto Florida Field. This year he is going to be even better.

Yes, no one is going to doubt Lagway's talent. So, it's no surprise that Steven Harris recently said DJ Lagway's ceiling is higher than Tebow, and he believes Lagway will compliment Mertz this year with some particular packages. He also thinks Lagway could do a series or two, and not just come in for a play here and there. I think that happens in the Samford game, but I doubt he does a series against the better teams on the schedule. So, I am skeptical that we will see much in 2024 on Lagway.

I really think Hansen/Bordingham could have great years. We saw them both come on the 2nd half of the year.

Defensively, I think if he is healthy, and that's a big if, Devin Moore looks like a #1 corner. If he has the year I believe he can, he might jump up on some draft boards next year.

Pup may be the MVP for our defense in 2024. Shemar and Pup will be a dynamic duo!!! If the OL produces as predicted the RB's will shake and bake!

TJ Searcy. The kid had a nose for the ball last year in limited action. If he stays healthy, he will make Gator fans forget about Princely.

He didn't appear particularly fast on the field last year. His Dad was a 4.5-4.6 guy and a great Receiver. If he is in that range that would be plenty fast, just maybe not fast enough to run away from SEC CB's on the fly route.
