Killing the groomer's ATTEMPTED power grab in Florida is a strong tonic. The rest of the hate is just lies and piling on.

I suspect everybody in this forum knows how football and basketball recruiting works. Players and their families are wooed by coaching staffs telling them how great their program is and how successful their son will be but also bring up the negatives of the other schools recruiting their sons. DeSantis just gave them loads of ammunition for negative recruiting. UF's deliberate disregard for minority students is the gift that will keep giving.

I’m sure you think we’re still living in the 60s.
Newsflash…DEI was a gigantic waste of money. Only a few dummies believe we even need that sort of HR over reach anymore.
Grab a cup of coffee or get a little cbd…chill. UF just improved itself by returning to the real world where everyone is actually treated equally.

I think Alabama and Mississippi will have a hard time pushing this argument. I wouldn’t put it past them trying though lmao.

The reality is most elite athletes whether coming from in-state or out of state don’t see FL as a permanent destination anyway (not anymore than they would want to live in hellholes like Mississippi or Alabama, so my point is where they play ball doesn’t matter). They aren’t coming to fulfill long term career goals or enter the workforce. The DEI stuff might matter slightly to a true “student athlete”. Probably not so much for mercenaries looking for the quickest NFL path. NIL and transfers has made that aspect of college athletics all a farce. Hell I’d argue even those “sales pitches” you are describing with coaches sitting in the living room are pretty much a bygone era. They still do that, but now it’s more artificial like it’s for a photo op. Everyone knows it’s mostly about the $$$. If the coach can’t back it up with $$$ his living room pitch amounts to nothing.

I keep reading on here how I hate blacks, gays, foreigners, women, etc.
Can you provide some evidence of your statement that the "righty party" has embraced blatant racism full-on? Thanks - love to see it.

I fully support inequality - it gives me the opportunity to both soar and to fail miserably. I've done both. I don't support racism and do not accept your melding of the two in one sentence.

It's a Gator site - let's not have inequality in our sports programs any longer. Let's make sure we're habitually mediocre (oh, sorry, football is already there) so no one fears us but they don't pity us either. How great will that be? In fact, we should not have inequality in academics either. In the name of diversity we should admit at least 50% of students who have been dismissed from high school for bad behavior. Why should only well behaved students get a chance at higher education? That's INEQUALITY! BOOOOOOOOOOO.

Please excuse me, it's time to get ready for the Alabama game in hopes we do well....but not too well and perhaps the game can be called a tie after 23 OT periods when all players have fouled out. That's what I'm talking about EQUALITY BABY!!! Ties for everyone.

Why couldn't UF take up a collection from alumni (starting with professional athletes) to privately fund the DEI programs?

So, no answer - just a wild swing and a miss trying to put down 1/2 of the country. Well done - you win the THFSG Reach of the Month award.

It’s not half. Just 7O odd million of your ilk. Numbers and influence dwindling as you age out and GenZ explodes on to the stage as our country’s wealthiest Generation (and most liberal). But the ilk is doing their best to thwart them by taking the promise of America from them and in the event that effort fails serving them a shit sandwich.

Yeah, about 1/2 of our ilk.

Your post doubled down on how what the Right does hurts others “doing their best to thwart them”. I guess it’s not paranoia if we really are out to get you. Frankly, most people are too busy, living their lives, and trying to make life work for them to be concerned about screwing other people over. But if in your worldview you believe that that’s what 70 million people are up to then I feel sorry for you. No animus - suppose someone else must be the cause of your situation- never the one in the mirror.

No you don't. You keep hearing the truth; that supporting a blatant racist is something you are OK with. You can decide if that makes someone racist.

As for your evidence, look at the blatant racist your party has nominated for POTUS.

Awesome - we've graduated from good old fashioned racists now to being "blatant racists" which sounds like the new catch phrase. "Pssst, did you know?...he's a "BR"" Ouch.
Again, many claims of this and that and no examples nor substance. All hat, no cattle. Oh, sorry vegans...did I offend?

Weird, you missed the part about "supporting" a blatant racist. Seems like that would have been easy for you to read. Maybe you did actually read it, but just enjoy playing the role of victim so much that you are now fabricating people calling you names.

As for whether supporting a racist makes one a racist, we'll again, that's a subjective question isn't it?

This is an example of their own of racism. Use race to point the finger at the other side. They can't seem to understand that throwing around the word racist when something is not racist does much more harm than good.

Sorry guys just wanting all races to be treated the same is not racism.
