… looks at Gators’ shooting of late. Green-Lit Gators Look to Stay Hot in Starkville - Florida Gators
Clayton’s shot reminds me of Caitland Clark’s shots. Beautiful form, consistent and rolls off the fingers. Poetry in motion! Now with Urban finding the net, look out for the Gators when all players are on.
Clayton has the quick release that I see from other fast shooters we've had, where he doesn't take a downward dip before shooting. Urban though takes a BIG lower dip. I wonder what the comparison is on release speed.
Hope we can find Urban some minutes tonight, even if everyone is healthy. He's been a big spark off the bench these last two games.
Eric's preview makes it seem that these guards aren't defensive monsters relative to the rest of the conference. Maybe tonight is a good build-confidence night to give him some run.
I like the practice shooting protocol. Being an old guy shots from 17 to 18 feet were deep shots as there was no three point line. As I got older and the three point line was introduced I learned to shoot from deeper by slowly expanding my range in practice. I loved to go to the gym when there was nobody else there and take hundreds of shots. I got pretty good even at NBA three point range.
