We often look for meaning in the wrong places.
A wife and kids wont give you meaning if you are searching for them to give you meaning.

27 years ago, I met my wife during a period of internal focus. I was not interested in a relationship due to a recent breakup.

Yet that is probably when I was actually the most ready. 25 years married next week and 3 kids later and I am glad I took that path.

A watched pot never boils. Find new interests. Find yourself.

    Look for other things.

Find a church community, where you can be part of a greater good. It may be In your acceptance of those small joys, that you find the seemingly larger ones

Yes, my friend started on white noise. She talked to a profesional about it who suggested brown noise to calm the mind. It's like being in the back seat of the car on a long drive.

She added some slow wave sounds, which is like brown noise except for the crash of the wave, to mix it up every now and then..

I don't sleep to it, but when I listen to it, it clears and calms my thoughts.

Sorry you’re going through that, you’ve got a big burden to carry. Some good tips in here. A few more straightforward easy areas that small improvements might help:
    • Sleep
    • Diet - what/when you eat
    • Simple cardio exercising
    • Check self medication (hooch, caffeine, tobacco, etc).
    • Check time spent in front of phone
    • Find a top-notch psychologist or even psychiatrist (meds) at Florida Health.
Everyone goes thru a tough period, I hope your health improves.
