No matter our political views, we can agree on the beauty of this 12 minute speech in our National Cathedral. A conservative, he served in the Bush administration. His statement (paraphrased) that 'maybe we should give this Jesus guy another look' really struck a chord with this agnostic.

This speech is simultaneously haunting and uplifting. I can only thank you for sharing.

It surprises me the Christians haven’t commented on the video. (Maybe they’ve all blocked me.) it’s the ultimate Christian message and brought tears to my eyes.

If I wished for almost anything it would be the gift he had at crafting words. It’s such an amazingly powerful thing to possess.
I would also say that if Christianity were presented with the humility and uniting message he provided here by all of God’s followers, it might not be on the decline it is.

“We know that life is not a force but a pilgrimage, or maybe a farce and a pilgrimage, depending on the day.” True dat. He makes some profound observations, at least to me, mixed in with personal admissions and revelations.
