100%. It is impossible to run $6T without some level of fraud. It’s not a bad thing for the taxpayers to know. But, this likely goes back 250 years (including Trump‘s first term).

Shiny object over here! Let's find fraud!!!!

Meanwhile, government and taxpayer data systems are now in the hands of "volunteer" private citizens, unchecked and unfettered by silly things like laws, regulations or oversight.

Quite the pivot to justify the means.

The old voter fraud commission revisited, minus the voters.

No doubt, Elon will find a way to have the government trust one of his companies with the payments system. He'll employ the same recent high school graduate geniuses that screwed up the federal government e-mail systems to be in charge of it, and U.S. money will be sent all over the world, with the exception of checks to U.S. retirees and other suspicious characters. What could go wrong?

Most people’s data was probability at least partially on the dark web already, but to the extent govt data wasn’t breeched before, now it certainly either is or shortly will be. Except they won’t have the courtesy to tell you.

There was already an OPM data breach a while ago. People don’t care about keeping their data private. Just look at the TikTok use

Will you unpack your statement for me?
    1. Who are the Feds in this instance?
    2. What do you mean by "stealing from tax payers"?
    3. If the "Feds" stole from the tax payers, where did the Feds put the money?

Not being facetious - I'm trying to understand what you think (or feel).

Probably, but now they will have more complete banking and social security records from treasury systems. Not just chunks of OPM data, but all U.S. citizens and entities in the now compromised systems. Hackers are gonna be running wild.
