You’re just making up reasons to cast doubt on the fairness of the trial with literally zero evidence other than your feels. Chauvin got what he deserved. I don’t think the other officers did though.

But the reality of these stories is that there was intense pressure to convict, correct? The juries knew there would be violence if they didn't convict.

 

Racial topics are funny because, if you're on the 'white side', you're 'racist' but, if you're on the 'black side' you're not.

 

They only want to execute black, Hispanic and female criminals. White males are excluded from their "justice". Just like the world Elon grew up in.

 

Suggesting there is a “white side” to be on in a not even close case like the Arbery case is both inherently racist and disgusting. You are really having to reach to find justification, and your reaches don’t change the legal question!


Really, there should never be a “white side” or a “black side” in legal cases involving force or police brutality. Unfortunately thinking like yours pretty much reveals how those divides get created in the first place.

 

If there wasn't a white side and a black side, you wouldn't even know the names because the media would barely cover it, if at all.

 

The media only picks up on the craziest stories in general. There’s wayyyyy more cases that don’t get any national attention whatsoever, mostly because they are not controversial or interesting - so are nothing but local news or police blotter material. If you are consistently “white siding” the craziest most egregious cases…

I think you conflate "intense pressure to convict" with strong conviction due to overwhelming evidence. The reality of the botched original "coverup" added pressure, no doubt, to get the trial completed correctly. The evidence was unequivocable. I don't believe that fear of violence if they didn't convict was a significant factor in the outcome.
