• Then they reduce the identifying information so the press cant research their claims

No effort to find waste. The effort is to cancel appropriated money for programs one man doesnt like. That isnt the same thing. Regardless the vast majority of money was canceled or not spent years ago. Wouldnt you like accurate stuff or are you happy if he cancels $1M of something you dont like and reports out that it was $1B in savings. Seems like you'd prefer a true count of "savings".
