I saw Prospect and Moon. Liked them both. Seems a few of us have similar taste in flicks.

Caught Up in Smoke the other day. Hadn't seen it since HS. It's so goofy and stupid that it's awesome! I laughed my butt off, just like I did in 1978.

I love him too. There is a recommendation above where he shines: Moon. It’s a sci fi. If you like sci fi, or even drama, watch it. Without reading anything about it.

I also like him in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Seven Psychopaths. Both entertaining and a bit deranged action movies.

I loved no country and True Grit. I didn’t connect with Llewyn or Buster as much.

Yeah I agree with letting you know about it, despite my aversions to spoilage. It’s really gruesome.

In the theater is was laughing so hard I was crying, but my girl friend was horrified. :D Myself I did not partake, but it was the 70's, and my older brothers and most of the high school did so I got all the references and jokes. Good times. Well, high times.

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World.

By researching the film on Wiki I found out they have remastered the film and added in the parts which were cut from the final release. The remastered film is 202 minutes long and of course I'll have to see if I can order it.

Didn’t see the other two, but No Country and Scruggs were pure garbage. As was Ladykillers.

Good list. I should’ve listed KKBB. Great quirky flick from Black.

Paul Rudd’s mirror scene made my insides hurt from mangled laughter. He outdid himself there. Garp - an all time classic. Good call on the JP films. My favorite performance of his was Geronimo (great movie, too).

Might be my favorite comedy. And my kids’ favorite too, proving some serious power to hold up over time and across generations.

Ahhh, The Way Way Back is a perfect coming of age film. Really loved Rockwell in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mr Right.

    Here’s a great unheralded flick:

    Safe Men.

Early turns for Sam Rockwell, Steve Zahn, Paul Giamatti and Mark Ruffalo.
