I think Bull Durham is the most realistic of the life of a baseball player.
As a young guy I enjoyed The Natural. I thought it was a cool story.

I always thought that line was known as the most common last words spoken by dawgs fans.

I love The Natural as cinema as well as Field of Dreams but I found both movies a bit too mythical for my taste.

I really like Everybody Wants Some because it is like Ball Four but set in college instead of The Show.

Richard Linklater went to UT and many of his films revolve around Austin. Dazed and Confused is a masterpiece. I love Boyhood but it is like late in life Scorcese long: great but a LONG movie. Makes me think that just maybe he knew some Longhorn baseball players and their antics. The taping the freshman guys to the outfield wall for "batting practice" was awesome. That is the kind of BS I recall from back then.

I like the ending of Field of Dreams. What I'd give for one more catch with my dad. He'd be 106, but we'd make it work.

I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but Rookie of the Year is the most realistic:

It’s at least as realistic as field of dreams.
