Months from propelling DeSantis to a landslide second term, same voters pouting over DeSantis doing the sorts of things he said he’d do.

One has nothing to do with other. When you ask people that are ill informed, they will give you the same dumb answer regardless of who asked the question.

war on energy? US is producing record amounts of oil in 2023 and oil prices are in the same range they were in 2018 without adjustments for inflation. both facts are independent of anything he has done or not done. nat gas price is up as we are now exporting more to the rest of the world

reckless spending? How much of the total stimulus money was spent under his watch? is investing in onshore chip production and infrastructure reckless?

you are parroting partisan talking points with no basis in facts. why? silly me...go team...

I didn’t say that his ratings were good, but unemployment is as low as its ever been, wages are going up and inflation is starting to come down.

And people will still vote for Biden over whatever psycho the right puts up because they have gone off the deep end. Honest question, right now, who appeals more towards the moderate voters? It's not Trump/Desantis.

I had to laugh at this one. You are putting your hopes into a poll conducted by 2 VERY left leaning organizations. From Progress Florida's website

Progress Florida advocates for progressive policies and holds our elected officials accountable by empowering citizens in their communities. We’re fighting for social justice, economic fairness, reproductive freedom, strengthening public education, health care reform, environmental protection, and much more.

    He’s passing unpopular laws….

    • 78% of Floridians oppose permitless carry of concealed weapons (20% support).
    • 56% don’t support the state’s near-total abortion ban(41% support).

I have no doubt progressives continue to disapprove of DeSantis. LOL Florida Watch and Progress Florida doing a survey.

Florida is killing it and the progressives cannot handle it. It is actually sad. But not to worry. Floridians are happy and most ignore the negative narrative being pushed by the msm. Well they ignore by not vocalizing it. But most people do not support the idea of normalizing the abnormal. They move on like DeSantis and ignore the attempts to make issues out of things that are not issues.

I voted for DeSantis. I thought he started out very well. He later went off the rails and every thing he does is posturing for the presidential run. Ymmv

    LOL!!!

This from The Americano owned by Courier News Room. Here is the first line from Courier News Room under the About Us tab...

At least they are honest that it is not about news but instead about their political leaning I suppose. LOL!

This is the media jamming the process. Most are fine with DeSantis. But the msm controls the narrative and they are doing what they can to take down the threat by agitating and hoping it sticks.

They are comparing to their own prior poll. Not sure “bias” is necessarily an issue. There are “progressive” groups that do professional polls just as there are conservative groups. Provided their sampling methodology is sound and consistent in methodology, how do you think this matters?

I’m not saying either way here, as I actually can’t find them on 538. Only other “direction of the state” poll I can find being done is by FL chamber of commerce. Their last reading was 51% going the right direction, so I guess for those who care to watch for trends they can compare to that other poll whenever it’s next run. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Huh?

He is governing the way he has since 2018...

You could argue by doing what he said he would do as governor is not good for him in a general presidential election. It would be one thing if he was making decisions that did not match his MO as governor. But he has been steady and strong doing the same thing. The pandemic certainly elevated him since he was the gold standard for governing through something like that. But that is not posturing. He did what was right and that is why so many want him to run for President.

I do not understand their methodology. They polled 2700(+/-) registered voters and then weighted the results to the demographic makeup of FL registered voters.
They never tell you the political affiliation or number of each party affiliation of the voters they polled.

You honestly think that a majority of people support abortion bans?
